Palit Microsystems, leading graphics card manufacturer, introduces the 55nm graphics processor: Palit GeForce GTX260 Sonic 216SP. The overclocked edition Palit GTX260 Sonic 216SP is the first custom designed graphics card that combines the innovative DUAL FAN cooling system with the high performance ad power efficiency of 55nm GPU to deliver the perfect solution for the gaming enthusiast.

Palit SONIC:
Continuing the Sonic brand’s reputation for overclocked performance, the Palit GTX 260 Sonic 216SP has a real 448-bit memory bus and -0.8ns 896MB of GDDR3 RAM. The memory is clocked at 2.2GHz with a core frequency of 625MHz. Equipped with the Sonic features, the performance of the overclocked Palit GTX260 Sonic 216SP is 9% higher than the default GTX260. The custom designed Palit GTX260 Sonic 216SP also offers NVIDIA’s latest two technologies: NVIDIA CUDA and PhysX providing a worlds-class gaming experience and delivers Graphics Plus. Experience jaw-dropping PhysX gaming effects, Stereoscopic 3D, and lightning fast video and image processing all accelerated by the GPU!

Dual Fan Double Coolness:
Palit’s innovative dual fan cooling system for the GTX260 Sonic 216SP comes with two PWM(Pulse-Width Modulation) fans and three heat-pipes to provide high performance and a reliable cooling solution. The dual PWM fans are able to provide sufficient air flow to cool the GPU on the graphics quietly. The PWM fan created for both fans can adjust the fan speed depending on the GPU’s temperature allowing the GTX260 Sonic 216SP to run quietly.
