I see the card in the section "sound, video and game controller". The memory range is ED000000 - EDFFFFFF.

I got Diablo2 running with the voodoo card by lowering the screen resulotion befor starting. But I only get 20-30 fps, with many magic effects even fewer and therefor it is unplayebal. With Deus Ex the error still remains.

Ups, sorry, I didn't see that there is a new driver for XP, but sadly with that driver the problem is still the same. I postet it here: http://www.3dfxzone.it/enboard/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=609

Hi,
I got the following problem with the Fast Voodoo 3.0 driver before and therefor installed the 4.0 Gold driver, but the problem is still there:

The driver does not show the card specs under "system info..." although winxp knows the card and it is listed under "device control".
I installed wicked3d and configured Deus Ex with highres acceleration, but if I try to run it, I get the errormessage "mapmen returned an error when trying to map memory" and it crashes back to windows. After that windows does not show any icons, until I reboot the pc. With Diablo2 I get the same problem.

I found out in the device control that there is no IRQ assigned to the voodoo card, just a memory address range. If thats the problem, how can I assign one to it under winxp?

My system:
WinXP
Athlon XP 3200+
Epox EP8RDA3+
Club 3D ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
Diamond Monster 3D II 12mb

Hope u can help.

Hi all,
I know I'm new here and this topic is rather old, but I get the same error and need some help. My specs are:

OS: Win XP SP1
Board: Epox EP8RDA3+
CPU: Athlon XP 3200+
Graphics 1: Club 3D ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
Graphics 2: Diamond Monster 3D II
Driver: Fast Voodoo2 3.0

The driver does not show the card like described in this http://www.3dfxzone.it/enboard/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=343 topic, but as said there, that should not be the problem. But when I try to start Deus Ex I get the mapmem error and the graphics tool from Diablo2 does not even recognize that there is a 3dfx card.
Any idears???

Ciao Bert
