I have two voodoo2's in SLI mode setup on a Win XP Pro system. I used the FastVoodoo2 v2.5 drivers. Everything installed correctly and works fine except when I exit a Glide-based game, my desktop graphics get completely corrupted. I have to reboot in order to correct it.

Any ideas what might be causing this and/or how to fix it? Should I be using different drivers?

Thanks,
Mario64

Hi mario64,

welcome

I don't believe that the problem is due to FV2...

One question: do it occur with all GLide games or some only?
If the second is true you could repeat system configuration that's to say:

- Remove ATI driver, then reboot.

- Remove 3dfx driver, then reboot.

- Install latest driver kit for mb chipset (if it's made by Intel you could install before inf and then Intel Application Accelerator), then reboot.

- (Re)install DirectX 9.x, then reboot.

- Now Catalyst v. 3.6 (better than v. 3.5), then reboot.

- FastVoodoo2 2.5, then reboot.

Try some games and report results here.

Bye bye

there would be some problems between the ATI cards and the Voodoo's 2 but some users would be more lucky than others,
oh well if i remember in the "past" , this was already the case !

I have the same problem with RedBaron 3D.
Using a Diamond V2 with 12meg connected to a Radeon 9500Pro.

Would you be more specific please? Which version of Glide is required to fix this?

Thanks,
