V5 5500 Driver or Hardware Issue?

Hi everyone.  I just picked up a V5 5500 agp to replace an old TNT2/V2 SLI configuration in my retro-build.  Upon installation I completely wiped the hard drive and re-installed Win98SE.  Upon initial boot the Card works fine with the default VGA windows dispaly driver.  The second I apply any V5 OEM or 3rd Party driver the computer freezes when booting Windows and displays some odd artifacts.

To Note I have also attempted to boot this card in 2 separate machines and with Windows XP all with the same results.  Any help to get this card working would be great.

Machine 1:
Asus P3V4X with 1005 and 1006.004 bios tested
PIII 600E
1Gig of RAM
300 Watt PS
V5 5500 AGP w/ 1.06 AGP Bios and 1.18 AGP Bios

Machine 2:
Intel SE-BX
PII 400
256 Meg RAM
300 Watt PS
V5 5500 AGP w/ 1.06 AGP Bios and 1.18 AGP Bios

Could the 300 Watt Power Supply be the issue once I apply the V5 drivers?  Could the card require more juice than my old PSU's are handing out?

Hi voodoo1312,

I'm afraid your Voodoo5 may be defective.

However, please check if both the cooler's fans are active and test the card with a opened case.

I don't think the PSU causes a similar issue.

Let me know.

Bye bye
