I installed the game right now (thanks tr32z, i have the same problem) and i think this game maybe have poor visuals in 3dfx mode than in software mode, the colors are too bad, the resolution too low... the visuals sucks too much. I don´t remember this when i played years ago in a Voodoo Banshee, maybe somethings wrong, or not ? maybe the time passed to bad for this game (not for NFSIII, it´s amazing at this times).

I run the game on a Voodoo 5 AGP, PII 450, 512Mb PC100 and Gigabyte BX2000 motherboad (Intel 440BX). SO is WIN98SE

Hi there, I have NFS2SE running perfectly fine under Windows 98SE with a Voodoo5500 AGP, using the latest 3dfx drivers that were released from 3dfx themselves. Tried to get the game working under Windows XP but failed.

As far as I experienced it, you need Win95 / Win98 in order to play it with Glide support. Of course, you first need to copy that EXE file from your NFS2SE CD.

It's actually pretty easy to determine wether the game is running in glide mode or not: All Weather effects only appear in the Glide Version of the Game i.e. Snow on the "Mystic Peaks" Track, or the flies that hit your windshield on the "Outback" track.

NFS 2 SE :) I played a lot this game.

Game runs on WindowsXP, whit any voodoo (if you hava the correct driver) But it wont run if you have more than 512mb ram.

This is going to fix the ram problem: http://voodoo.atw.hu/nfs.rar

enjoy ;)

Hi!

I've found a way to make NFSIISE(full) work in glide mode!

If anybody stucked, here's the solution:
- Install the game.
- Copy the nfs2sea.exe to the game directory.
- Download the NFSIISE 3dfx demo!(Available free on many webpages.)
- Unpack the demo, you'll see a 3DFX directory.
- Copy it to the full game dir.
- Start with nfs2sea.exe
- It will complain about the disc space... whatever... press OK!
- Play the game with beautiful graphics! :)

PS: In the 3DFX dir, you'll have RUSH and VOODOO dirs, with old glide2x.dll-s. I've tried to overwrite them with new ones came from koolsmokys driver(http://www.3dfxzone.it/enboard/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1839). (I'm using XP with that driver, V2 12 MB SLI.)

Thank you.
