I am testing over 50 games on voodoo 5 5500 under win xp, and I must say that some games run better on Amigamerlin drivers and some on SFFT divers.

But there are problems with each drvivers.

SFFT 1.4 and 1.5 Drivers are very unstable, a lot of games frezzes and crashes during gameplay (Wolfentein, Project IGI, Duke Nukem Manhatten, Serius Sam...)
It is very annoying.

But there is one game that only works with SFFT drivers and runs stable: Swat 4

With amigamerlin drivers I just cant make Swat4 run properly, the game is full of artifacts, like the graphic card would be damaged or something, but i tried the v4 4500 and i get the same artifacts, that also happens when playing Ultima X accession.

I have tried runing with 3d analyze, but I always get those artifacts.
I realy  like amigamerlin drivers because all games run stable and smooth.

Can u make a Table, with game name, and his behaviour with SFFT and Amigamerlin drivers ?

Example:

Game_________SFFT 1.4______SFFT 1.5______Amigamerlin
SWAT4__________ok____________ok__________Freeze
Wolfenstein______ok____________ok____________ok
Serios Sam______BSOD

and so on ...

No problem i will make a test table, tomorrow i will have some free tame to make it.

if you are looking for a driver that would fit just between the old amigamerlin driver and the newest SFFT,you can try my personal mix: A41_Custom (based on the SFFT Alpha41 driver-I have fixed the opengl/glide registry entries and readded 3dfx glides and ICD for better compatibility with older opengl/glide games).while compatibility with the newest games isnt all that great,it may just be enough to get all those games you have mentioned running properly (opengl games like wolfenstein may need manual install of wickedgl/mesafx,3dfx icd may not be enough for those)..
