Yes, that sounds wonderful Rolo.  I'd appreciate both the drivers and the config file you used.  Are there any possibilities of me damaging my card by installing these beta drivers?

By trying to install and run halo, I am trying to show my friend here that it is possible, (he doesn't believe it can run on a voodoo )  I also kinda want to do it just to say I have, guess I'm kinda like most overclockers lol!

Thank you for the reply.  I have tried the modified config.txt file and had no success, still same errors.  Perhaps you can tell me exactly what lines to remove?  I am really no good with modifying such files  I couldn't even find the voodoo5 card in the config file?  So I'm not sure where to remove it.  

Perhaps the problem lies in my display drivers?  I am using the Amigamerlin v2.9 drivers for this card.  Perhaps I should try updating them next?

Forgot to add some things.  Running Windows 98SE and also have tried using the modified config.txt file in the root halo directory.  Still same problem.  This bums me out cuz I see other topics here where people got it to work.  Only difference is they used other drivers I think?

Hello, I'm new to these forums but thought I would ask here for help.

I found an application that tricks the games into thinking that the voodoo5 5500agp has Hardware T&L.  Its called 3DAnalyze, (I have version 1.64).  It calculates through the CPU.  I can not get the application to work.  The message that halo gives is my computer doesnt meet the minimum memory requirements for the card, it detects it as an 8MB 3DFX TNT2 M64.  So obviously thats wrong, but when I click the "continue anyway" button, it states "A problem occured initializing Direct3D.  Hardware acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG."

Maybe I have the wrong settings on 3D Analyze?  Or possibly need to adjust the settings on my video card?  Possibly I should use an earlier version of direct 8?  I'm really not sure.

Like I said, I can not get the game to run.  I am using DirectX V9.0c on this comp.  Any help would be greatly appreciated,
