Chaos Legion - Some glitches in menu, ingame ok. Fast.

Guilty Gear XX #Reload - Flawless, very fast, looks nice w/4xFSAA on V5 6K, A little slow w/8x on 6K and 4x on 5500 (but it's only 900Mhz celeron :))

Red Faction 2 - flawless, a bit slow (this game sucks, RF1 waaaay better)
Star Wars: Jedi Academy - flawless w/ MesaFX
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. One very minor bug, very fast.
Neverwinter Nights - better to run Windows version on Linux w/ Cedega (WineX) - working movies

Tried to run Worms3D w/ MesaFX.  And it's extremely sloooooooooooooooooowwww ! Looks like full software rendering.  Doom3 runs waaaaaaay faster, at least not 0.3 fps like Worms...

Test your card on another machine.
And... Maybe your PSU is not enough for V5 5500 ? Some cheap PSUs rated
as 235 or 250W but real max output is 110-160W

It's almost impossible - ñapacitors on STB cards are very good.
But if PSU  is ok and you can see artifacts right at bootup (bios screens
or there's artifacts in any text mode - then it can be damaged memory.

Voodoo4/5 Discussions / BIOS upgrade ?

I've got V5 5500 w/ Toshiba memory and BIOS 1.06.
Is there any reason to upgrade BIOS to 1.18 (stability, speed, etc ) ?

Just found the solution and it was very easy - just set that string to "GTF"

Anyway, any info about manual setup can be useful

I need to set correct timings for 1024x768@85Hz, but these (default) settings from registry:

1376,1072,1168,808,769,772,0,94500000,8500,8,23923
give me a bit jagged fonts and window borders.

I found correct settings with PowerStrip but i want to set them as default settings in registry (i don't want to load PowerStrip each time) but i dont know registry string "syntax"

Can somebody help me to convert timing values from attached screenshot to registry string ?

The best mobo for Voodoo5 5500-6000 is MSI K8T Master2
How about Dual Opteron system ? :D

Even with the 6.1.0.2? If it is a pixelformat issue, it should generate a MESA.LOG file in the game directory! But then again, might be something else...

It's something else - no mesa.log
And i can't find any useful info in game log.

BTW whats wrong with V5 SLI and MesaFX - if FSAA set to "Fastest performance" (no FSAA) i can see stripes on the screen (for example in UT2003) but when FSAA is set to 2x, 4x, 8x (v5 6K only) - no stripes, everything is ok.

Don't copy this glide3x to %windir%\system, it's definitely not a good idea.
Why ? It's early beta and it's buggy like hell, for example try to run Tribes 2 with MesaFX and this DLL - lots of gfx bugs... Same UT2K3 - sky on DM-Antalus is broken, various errors with Glide64, texture bugs in Unreal. So, copy this dll to game directory instead, if all works fine - use it as this dll is faster than 30303, bugs - try to delete this glide3x.dll
and use older 30303 until bugs in 40404 will  be fixed

And how about R9000 PCI or R9200 128Mb PCI ? Not too expensive and works ok (enough for UT2003 @1024x768x32 all max)
