Got this strange information about de memory size.
Only 16 Mb ( ?? ) are detected....on my v5 6000.
see below:



Because of this wrong memory size detection the game refuse to start.
Im using SFFT 42.

Did somebody already managed to play this game on voodoo cards ?

With amigamerlin, 32 mb are shown.

Got today a new game, El Matador.
The game engine is near the same like im Max Payne.
Unfortunately i get this error message, and can't go on.

Got today my first Voodoo4; its a Powercolor Voodoo4.
Interessting is that on upper right conner is written Voodoo V .. ( 5 ) !

My PC: XP2000+, 512Mb RAM, V5 5500 with SFFT37, at 1024x768x32.

I tested the games in both resolution 800x600 and 1024x768, the second one work better, of course all details are set to low in both cases.

Found this Cards( a voodoo2 and a Banshee ) on the local market, and i can't identify them.
I'm asking about your opinion.

A closer look reveal that the memory on the back are from 3 different vendors. ( upgrade in the factory from 8 to 12 mb ? )

Found this information:
"Aopen offers the PA2000 in three configurations, 8MB, 12MB and soon to be released 16MB."
As I know the voodoo2 can adress only 12mb of memory.

If its possible to have 16 Mb on a regular v2, on sli mode will be 32 Mb...for gaming is a new perspective.
Imagine nfsmw on v2 sli !

P.S. Have somebody try to add the extra 4 Mb ?

Hi,

Recently i read an article in an old magazine, about the 3D Glases that are comming togheter with the Wicked Metabyte Voodoo2 cards.
In the article was mentioned that a special driver was developed for this Feature ( 3D Glases ).
I did not find fotos or someting about this feature.
Where can i find some info related to this ?
How work this Glases ? is a driver also for XP available ?

On the card, in the middle is written " IRIS VOODOO2 12 MB ".
Recognize somebody this card ?

Hi,

I'm willing to start building a voodoo/3dfx dedicated computer case.
So far i managed to get for this Project a MicroATX MB from Biostar, a voodoo5, 512Mb RAM, a DVD, 2x HDD each 40 Mb, driven from a XP2200.
The case should look like a Barebone, small, silent and of course the Voodoo card should be good visible.
I'm greatfull for any Ideas and sugesstion.

I've read somewhere on the Internet that the Game 4: Nature test in the 3DMark 2001 can be also run on the Voodoo5.
Can somebody tell me the exact configuration of the 3DAnalyze tool in order to run this test too ?
Somebody have experience running the 3DMark 2003/2005/2006 on voodoo 5?
Witch 3DAnayze version and witch settings must be used ?

hello,

i have already read in another thread 'voodoo project' that it's possible for the vsa-100 chip to use maximal 64 mb of memory, so that means that the voodoo5 5500 can be upgraded with another 64 mb. by changing the memory chip of corse.
the question is; did somebody this or not ?
the v5 5500 with 128 mb exist or it's a pure fiction ?
i have search on the internet but i could find nothing.

i have a little experience with microcontroller, so i have thought that it my be possible to transform the v5 5500 in a v4 with 64 mb. can somebody through the software, drivers to disable one of the vsa chip, and let his memory for the other ? , so that then will be one chip with 64 mb.
