Title: Athlon XP-M on a KT333
Post by: technik733 on 18 February 2008, 06:43:11
I'm trying to build a voodoo machine on an MSI KT3 Ultra2-R board with a 35watt XP-M 2400+ (to overclock, of course).

It will work fine with an older 1500+, but I can't get it to boot with the mobile. It's not even POSTing. The motherboard will boot up (the power switch will shut it off after 5 seconds) but there is no post screen, and I don't know what the problem is. There is no beep code, nothing.

Has anyone done this before?

Upgrade your BIOS to latest version and load safe settings before starting with M2400+

W00T! Flashing the bios fixed it, after digging through tons of old floppies trying to find a 98 boot disk and a drive that still worked. It even works with my 333mhz FSB 2600+! Thanks for all the help.

Just an update, I have the 2400+ running at 2.4ghz now, and I can play halo with my voodoo 5. Thanks!
