I knew about that that flasher and about that roms. The problem is that I need to do it on a PC.

I don't know if it is possible to use a Mac rom and a PC flasher. Did anyone do it?

Thanks,
Ray

You need to flash the V3 (pci) card using a Mac.
You will plug the card besides your main card.
The Voodoo 3 will be viewed as a "display".
So you will run the flasher aka "FlashROMVoodoo3".
The program will see your V3 and will ask (after a warning about a PC rom) if you wish to upgrade it.
Then you will write the full name of the Mac Rom image.
New warning (about a Macinstosh rom)- You will save the initial PC rom on the disk.
The program will install the new bios.
Shutdown, reboot and hope because never i tried myself ;)

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.

The problem is that I don't have a video card for my Mac.

I wonder if I can use my PC to flash the V3 with a Mac rom.

Thanks,
Ray

Even if you can extract the files (using probably Aladdin) from the mac archive to your pc, i'm afraid that you will need the flash program found inside the Mac archive and always imho, this program runs (only) on a Mac.
