nvidia geforce fx5200 is a total crap for playing purposes, ati 9200 card is much better than that one. pixelshader 2.0 on fx5200 is totally useless because it's too slow to use it. Actually for that money you could buy used graphics card like geforce4 ti4200 which could blow away all 5200's, 5600's of fx series.

what drivers you used on WinXP?
as I see you've used quite old drivers on Win98SE, maybe try using some newer ones like Amigamerlin 2.9.
#273
but isn't here anyone who have used VooDoo5 6000 AGP with AGP2PCI adapter? Or at least VooDoo5 5500?
#274
maybe try different agp2pci card if you have a chance to get one somewhere.
#275
I somewhere saw a tutorial or smth like that about using VooDoo2 also as a DirectDraw device, maybe you should try that.
#276
so you have 2 videocards and the 2nd is VooDoo2 board. For what reason you need weak videocard as a primary device? Maybe removing that device would solve the problem.
#277
it seems that development runs very slow (if it's running). Maybe SFFT will change the situation with it's brand new drivers.. (i hope so)
#278
did you use V5-6000 external power supply? (maybe agp2pci card somehow can't handle the high power requirements of VooDoo5-6000)
#279
using that wrapper is simple - just run it, press install and everyrhing should work (installation process replaces directx core file(s)).
I've also just used gldirect-3.0.0, it's shareware, but atleast someting worth to try.
#280
but maybe it's possible to apply all the fixes which were made to w2k/xp  core to w9x core. I guess it wouldn't take much work.
#281
maybe try different drivers, I tried to run NFS: HP2 on VooDoo4 4500 and it worked perfectly.
for what you need 960x720 resolurion, can't you use 800x600 or 1024x768 instead?

Yeah, you being so bright, I guess you only had to glance through them and emanate highly specialized opinions, right? If you feel they seem so "poor", grab the keyboard and catch up with some code. I ported the sst1 branch from glide2x, you know, and it works pretty good.

PS: and, btw, you're wrong. sst1 is used for Rush, too.
I didn't ment "poor" as "this code sucks" but as "this code seems uncompleted, like I see too less files to succesfuly compile something, compared to the other sources I got from net, correct me If i'm wrong". I respect your job, and can only say "doh, if i had knowledge like that".

All what I could find out on that sf site was that there is some development going on fixing/merging glide libs under *nix. There were no signs of sources for voodoo stuff for windows.

PS: I'm at beginner level compared to you..

it seems that sst1 = VooDoo1 & cvg = VooDoo2.
i found those sources on sf, but they seem very poor...

thank you SFFT - i'll test your drivers and try to report results (I have VooDoo3 3000 and VooDoo4 4500, so I can test both versions of drivers.)

Why doesn't the driver development go opensource or smth like that? Ok, i know, source belongs to nvidia, but anyways, it would be much better to share tha ideas and fixes with everyone.
