Voodoo4/5 Discussions / V55K AGP FSB? 89Mhz?

Best tool is to compute it yourself by knowing the FSB you are using. If you don't like this method, than just use Sandra or any system diagnostics software.

Quoting Hank, untill he has the time to explain it in details himself: "if you run the mother board at 1.5V IO and V5 at 3.3V IO, it will self destruct anfter a while"

NFS Carbon does not run on v5/xp/sfft42. :(

No, it will not fit. The GPU is too close to the goldfinger (the part that goes into the slot).

I'm more impressed by that 210Mhz...

I used to play Counter Strike in 1600x1200 flawlessly.

There is a solution for it, beside changeing the driver. I managed to get rid of the square, but don't remember how. If i do, i'll post the solution.

Voodoo4/5 Discussions / V55K AGP FSB? 89Mhz?

I would definitely try. The 5500 does not have a Hint bridge that can burn out. The worst scenario would be that your pc will not boot, or it will show artifacts even in 2d.

Radu is the owner of my ex. I downgraded back to my beloved 5500.

It is the memory. If it is of any help, it is probably a pin that came loose from the pcb. If you want to check, you have to know that in 2d only one vsa is working. That means that you only have to check 4 of the memory modules. These are the ones that are closer to the backplate (the vga output), two on the front, two on the back.

General Discussions / voodoo 2 sli vs 5500

For all practical reasons do not put two 3dfx cards in your system if they are not two v2's in SLI. You will only create conflicts by this. AFAIK dos glide games work on a V5. You do not need a dos driver for that.

Try the Epox 8k5a2. Works very good with V2 - V5 6k. Dunno about V1 though. Minden jot!
