Obi-Wan Kenobi

Hi all well the past few days I grabbed my 5000 AGP and started to play with it again but then in a whole different way by mixxing the Official 3dfx driver with AmigaMerlin's AmigaMerlin 2.9 3dfx Tools Control Panel, so here is how I got it all going, alot different that last time ;)

Since that there are quite a few people that have a Voodoo 5 5000, AGP, PCI or both types of models.

The idea is to test this card under Windows 2000 Professional + SP4 with the latest 3dfx WHQL drivers. :)
Well that didn't really work so now I'm back to 98SE NL + UnOfficial Service Pack 2.03NL and go on from there.

So here's the card of today's test run again :

If there are more people with Voodoo 5 5000 AGP's or even PCI's feel free to join along!

So here's the system setup which I''ll be testing the 5000 AGP in:

Sveta

AMD AthlonXP 2700+
ASUS A7V333-R VIA Apollo KT333 [Main 3dfx flying testbed also]
1x Twinpack 2x 512MB PC-2700 Kingston Valueram
3dfx Voodoo 5 5000 AGP 32MB Rev.A0 3700 :)
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy2 Platinum eX[ Gift from dad, really]
1x Seagate Barracuda V 120GB 7200,7 rpm ATA HDD
Thermaltake Pure Power 520Watt EPS 12V with Power Station 5,25" Docking bay

Plextor Plex-Writer PX48/24/48A

3dfx Voodoo4/5 V1.04.00 - The Latest WHQL Drivers.
AmigaMerlin 2.9 3dfx Tools Control Panel

The Voodoo 5 5000 AGP 32MB Rev.A0 3700 works great with this driver + Control Panel combination!

3dfx Voodoo4/5 V1.04.00 WHQL + AmigaMerlin 2.9's 3dfx Tools!

Now FSAA x4 works splendidly in OpenGL, Direct3D as Glide  [:o)]

I used Unreal: Return To Na Pali to test the Glide API @ 1024 x 768 x16 in Glide with FSAA x4 :) and man the game really looks nice and runs fluid also [8D]

the pics have been compressed to .png formats just to spare the image quallity, they are a bit dark but the FSAA x4 is very well visable, nice stait lines no jaggies ;)

So here's Unreal Tournament 2003 Ver 2225 Final.

1024 x 768 x 32 No FSAA @ Normal settings

Some maps were high detailed which made the 5K AGP create slowdowns with some pressure, but it was very playble in most cases which did surprise me for a 32Meg V5 [:P]

Anyways so far so good Jedi Knight Jedi Academy is next, running UT2003 on high settings was like watching dia frames [8D]

Okay here are the pics of the 5000 AGP system setup   8)
