Title: power supply fof pentium 4 ?
Post by: LD on 18 December 2003, 23:59:29
I was wondering if a pentium 4 system requires a 400w power supply or can it run good with a 350watt ?.

It all depends on external device (pci/agp boards and other like monitor) and cpu technology and/or clock...

PS: welcome :)

for a normal pentium4 system, a 350 watt psu should be sufficient...

Well dells have p4 in them and a regular dell psu is only 200W so i guess 200W is the bare min but if you plan on adding highend stuff then it is best to get a 400W **HINT look for one that sais AMD ready or something like that** they usally tend to take more stress*
AMD dose have some better cpus if you want an extreame gameing system.;)
