Well it seems this seller has been busy again and trying to sell a 3dfx Voodoo5 5500 AGP 64MB with box & Driver CD on ebay as well even though the photo is again stolen from an other friend of mine aka MadYoshi from B Voodooalert.de as well it's this auction that being:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/3dfx-Voodoo5-5500-32-MB-110-0874-111-Graphics-Card-agp/362749830310

As you can see the photo actually comes from this website that my friend MadYoshi runs and owns:

http://www.glidegallery.com.nu/

Here the picture from this site:

Here the actual link of it:
http://glidegallery.bplaced.net/3dfx/image/voodoo_bilder/Voodoo%205%205500%20AGP%20OCP.jpg

He told me he had the card since 2001 and he still has it, I can't stand that ebay is o slow even the 100+ Reports they had of this seller doing these fake auctions....

I really hope this scammer gets banned from ebay , just a shame ebay is so slow at actually removing scammers , it's kind of disappointing and it's also affecting my friends as well, ah well I am going to report this one just as I did with the other one it's all we can do sadly.

Even so, I still bet all the other auctions this guy has are stolen images of other people as well...won't be all too surprised then either if I have to be very honest [:(]

The seller stole the photo's from x86 Secret major thanks go to GrandAdmiralThrawn for providing me this info :)

Here photos of Surri's actual card from 3dfx.ch:

Seller''s photo, revealing the exact same positions of wires even how they are bent and how that internal power hookup is mounted;
Left alone the placing of the tiewrap to bind the cables of the power hookup, all the same:

All the same placements, every Voodoo5 6000 left alone as every other 3dfx card all have varied decal placements one is sloped more than the other etc, the photo's are 100% didentical
It is also known that Surrimugge still uses his card for his own You tube channel for reviews and how the card performs with varied games of it's time to games like Half Life2.

He would never sell his card as it's well known thoughout the entire 3dfx community.

The seller also stole the photo's from x86 Secret:

Major thanks go to GrandAdmiralThrawn from VoodooAlert.de for providing this information :)

Hey all

Now I know the message is the same, but it words it at it's best.

As co-owner of the x-3dfx facebook section I have decided with my crew to mass report this so the more reports ebay gets the sooner it will be taken down.

Here the Fraudulent Voodoo5 6000 listing:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/3dfx-Voodoo-6000-tested-working/362751530027

Seller info:
https://www.ebay.de/usr/sewil6573?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

Even that they have 16 Feedback points, could be friends of them or alt accounts made by the same seller
https://feedback.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=sewil6573&ftab=AllFeedback&myworld=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2545226.m2531.l4585

If I am not aloud to post this here, feel free to let me know and I will remove it.

Hereby I will advise Surrimugge to also report this seller for stealing their photo material of their own card, there is a way to contact ebay manually which is the way I'd go for I'd phone them and get this sorted out as soon as possible.

Stealing & using photo's from others for sales is breaking rules with ebay even as other market place sites goes using fake photo's or stolen photo's is always a big no no, so you can report the seller from doing this.

At x-3dfx we have already mass reported this sale but the more people report the better and the sooner ebay will have it removed as well.

So please help warn your own 3dfx communities for those that are part of other ones so no one needs to fall for this fraudulent sale thereby helping to protect your own members.

Keep your members safe 3dfzone.it especially from such fraudulent listings, DO NOT fall for it!

General Kenobi out.

Hey all :)

If any of you are seeking a cool Overload League there is the Overload Teams League aka OTL for short :)
Check 'em out here:

http://otl.gg/

The OTL was founded by my friend roncli [:o)]
This league will give it's players a very competitive gameplay within the game Overload, in forms of competitions to tourneys and just fun games alike

You can join the OTL here view their discord:
http://otl.gg/discord

At the OTL we are always looking for new players, players can also make their own squadrons just as long they consist of 2 or more players.
This gives the player more freedom as well.

Overload is made by Revival Productions, which is based of the same developers that made the original Descent & Freespace series as Parallax Software & Volition Software.

Hereby I hope to see many more new members and I hope it's okay for me to make this thread here.

Been testing this game and yeah well for a Pre-Alpha it's pretty solid, even so it's far from done though.

It's getting new updates that it's more possible to land with a Ptera than just crashing in to the ground and breaking your bones at comet speed.
Other update will bring scent to the game so you and uses scent to track prey etc.

Also if people make a pledge of 9 USD or more, they will receive an elusive Feathered T-Rex skin.
This skin can only be gained of you have backed Beasts of Bermuda
[:0][:o)]

Here some pics of the game I made that shows you how you can change the color of you dino skins in game:

here my result :)

Hello everyone :)

Here is a new dinosaur survival game a good friend of mine is making he goes by the name of "Matthew Weiss" and his Team :D [8D]

It already has better core gameplay than the isle: like swimming/diving, flying, weather, you can play as marine reptiles too like as Mosa to lunge into a poor dinosaur on the shore and drag it down to drown it :D :D

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1596433999/beasts-of-bermuda

Here their Discord page:
https://discord.gg/GPFyJG5

The $70 tier gains Early Access to the game that will allow you to play it and test it as patches are made make proper bug reports etc.
Being part of this game's development can be a great deal for some as for me it certainly would.

Beasts of Bermuda is to me and many others the ultimate replacement of The Isle thanks to it's Aquatic, Air and Land unit support players can also create their own skins  and this all can be taken use of if doing the 70USD pledge.

So lets help the Devs of this game gain some publicity and help them succeed their mission goals for making it through their KS Campaign and gain the dino survival game of everyone's dreams.

Their Goal is 35.000 USD and I have a feeling they can pull that off quite well [:+]

Here a god interview of Matthew Weiss and You Tuber; Anthomnia :D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bp7aD_jt9Tc&t=220s

Also the price is only high because of the KS Campaign the final retail product will be sold at 20USD same as it's competitors.
The reason I added this, is to avoid confusion [8D]

Hey Glide xD anytime man, as alpha backer of the DU program I have been posting this message on other forums as well hoping to give this gamea chance :) For what it's worth ya know  [8D]

Hey all! :D

As one of the Alpha Backers of Descent Underground from Descendent Studio's;
Hereby I make an announcement to call out some more friends & people to join me with this game, it's a 6DoF FPS game that requires Team Cooperation and Team Support to succeed as it's Survival, Team Anarchy & Cooperate War game modes go, they are to me the best game modes, but there are also many other modes as well. :)

Descent Underground has a Free Demo that includes all game modes and maps with one of the many flyable drones, which is the Wasp, these can deploy turrets to support team mates when capturing zones for example when playing Survival mode.

Do keep in mind this game is an Early Access game and the Descendent Studo's Developers are doing their utmost best to keep this game up to date, you can view Wingman's Hanger on You-Tube every Friday at 6PM GMT +1 but sometimes also on Twitch which will hold live Streams.

Here the Descendent Studio's Main page:
https://descendentstudios.com/

Here their main forum page:
https://descendentstudios.com/community/

Here the Descent Underground Store page on Steam:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/360950/Descent_Underground/

This game runs on Microsoft Windows 7+ Linux & Apple OS but Operating Systems do need to be 64Bit and not 32Bit.
VR is supported, although not required

So hereby I hope to see you all Underground [8D]

Been fine, working on a dual Piii setup, I'll post it when Im done.

it will have 2 1.4ghz piii-s a x850xt and 2 12mb voodoo2's. and a AWE64 gold.

I'm not the biggest fan of the 64 gold, to much of an airy and tin can sound too it. But it's a no nonsice card that seems to work with everything.
I guess I could mod the card to get it sounding better.
*ugh* I don't agree on that with the AWE64 Gold, nothing can match it's Midi music quality, not even in a long shot.
EMU8000 was superior for that part ;) Also most support in games the Plug 'n' Play part was extremely good, this was when Creative made quality hardware imo, I have both AWE64 Golds the CT 4390 and the extremely rare and very hard to find CT4540

So far all games I have tested are running grate but a little slow (hardly noticeable for sum games)
but this may be because I using a 8mb voodoo2
Deus Ex and airfix dogfighter were running the slowest
It has been sum time since I last use my voodoo 2, and I can not remember how slow/fast these games were (I'm spoiled with my voodoo5500)If any one know how well these games run on a 8mb voodoo2 let me know
I will find sum of my old game tomorrow and continued testing  those games
If you have a request for a game to test let me know

Let us wait some feedbacks.
yes let us get sum feedbacks

I just had a great idea
sum how get that DirectX Driver and this 64-bit driver working together but that's probably not possible

Actually, 8mb V2 is not much slower than 12mb V2 most of the time. The smart guys back then bought the 8mb cards and saved a lot of money.
Well not entirely true ;)
The 12MB boards did have an advantage when lot of textures played a role games like Descent 3 1.5 Bea or Freespace 1, 2, Falcon 4.0 or Wing Commander Prohecy; This is where a 2x v2 12MB in SLI setup was strongly preferred over the 2x 8MB in SLI solution, I have a Quntum3D Obsidian X-24 and it destroys all 2x 8MB Configs and can easily come alone with 2x 12MB in SLI config, even it only uses one PCI 2.0 slot ;)

It's just those extra frames you get extra to maintain a fluid gameplay framerate [8D]

My first video was called "3dfx Voodoo5 runs on last OS". A fact that everyone can verify himself as it is clearly explained in the new written by Glide.

Six months after, I posted "3dfx V5 performs 3dm2000" where I said @2.22 : " Offering a large range of emulated features this driver (W10 generic Vga) can keep your Voodoo5 alive... etc.".

Seems neither you look at it, nor you experiment before judging the article as "pointless, waste of time, etc".

About 3dm2000 / 2001, you know that's outdated software, it recognized the E7500 as 'PIII' and offered me 3 settings to run the test : T&L software, D3D hardware, or D3D pure hardware. I tried them, and the best performance came with D3D pure hardware.
As a 3D-Analyze connoiseur, you know that a Voodoo can't perform shaders in hardware and needs emulation, whatever setting I choose emulation was ON.

There is no conspiracy here ;) and it is useless to speak here in an unpleasant way.

Just the info that was lacking and I did watch your video's I even replied to one of them even that reply wasn't kind, just my reaction that this isn't really all to special sorry to hurt your feelings it just isn't. But other than that my bad for my bold reactions.

I Saw this as one of those multiple hard to believe wannabe threads and we had so many of such topics, but then again the only interesting factor of this project of your is that you got things to work in software mode as Win10, that you got 3D mark to run well this program isn't really opted for 3dfx cards it's quite inaccurate on how it tests things, I am not much of a 3D mark fan myself the games tell me much more, 3D Mark lacks Glide API as well lel.

Also how Win10 sees your VGA card as a standard VGA adapter and you got some things to run, yeah nice; but again everything would run in software mode since software can emulate everything, that is if the hardware in the used system allows that and the same for the OS.
That is the only way you got Pixel Shader / Vertex shader & T&L tests run on the V5, there is no other possible way, forget it.

But other than that this is kind of useless, since Win10 isn't made to run old games especially with Glide API. Win10 has very bad legacy support afaik MS removed Legacy support in Winn10 for the most of it.

Want a good new gen OS try Win7, SFFT did manage to make a driver for Win7 but then again still not an OS of choice if you want optimal glide performance from any Voodoo card.
Most people I know in the 3dfx community sticks to older operating systems to play 3dfx glide games, as they still give the best results.

So you can say what you like as your research goes, that is all fine. Each to their own for that matter anyways.
I myself don't really interest such projects, they don't offer much usable options.
But yeah you got Win10 working on a V5  but other than that it's not useful to play Glide games at solid frame rates.

My apologies for my bold replies back there, not really my intention to make you feel upset or so :)
It's that some years ago we just had a lot of nonsense posts and I mis-saw this as one of them, my bad for that, good luck with your experiments though, I am gonna stick to a real OS for my V5's. Win2K Pro + SP4 and nothing much else [:o)]

A Negative comment but full of emotion.

Incorrect full of question more like it, that is if you read my post fully, yet I have doubts that you even did [B)]
Your posts lack the needed info that puts them to logical sense.
Hence my replies.

So I ask for the thirst time explain how exactly you got these tests to work without the need of emulation?
There is in no way a V5 can do pixel shader & EMBM tests, so far you have not succeeded to explain how.

It's that I ask you simple questions of info that is missing from your hypothesis..
Yet all you do is you come with defensive nonsense, rather than the logics that describe your so called tests wiih the needed accuracy.

You know, I have shared here all the data since July with the driver model on screens, but looks like some believed it was a fake and no one even seems have tried.

I was satisfied with a good 2D experience and a V5 running and surfing with the last OS. I no longer play games and during these months I had not even taken the time to test 3D.

In December, I was surprised when Glide asked me for more information, so I tested more and I send him some data. If he wrote this news he must be sure what he says.

"Software you are hiding from your inaccurate videos". I repeat : there is no hidden software, just the generic driver.

"Well to be very honest this is nothing special even ... "
This point you're right. There's nothing special in what I did, and anyone just had to 'waste' a little time to experiment.

Is it useful ?  My purpose was just to share. 5,000 have click on the 3dm2000 video, maybe some will find it useless, some others useful.

And still I find this test absolutely pointless, software mode or not, anything can be emulated in software mode as said, if it were rendered with 3D acceleration then it would be something new, but as said this is nothing new under the horizon.

It's just an other pointless experiment, I am a die hard x-3dfx user & ex-collector,  most of us 3dfx people used our cards for things they were made for, what you are doing is pointless and senseless, Win10 doesn't even support 3dfx Glide API, the one thing you'd use a 3dfx card for, thus this is goalless.

Win 98SE + Un-Official SP 2.3+ & Win2k Pro + SP4 are the best Operating Systems for your 3dfx cards, WinXPPro + SP3 can seem as a useful alternative, well for some, but anything later than that isn't worth it.

What is your real gain with this anyways? Why 2D? Why not try to find out to get 3D working instead?

3dfx made 3D accelerators for 3D effects in games, for 2D we had Matrox, PowerVR, NVIDIA, S3 & ATi for that part.

My Radeons & GeForce cards can do 2D as can my Matrox Cards S3 Cards and PowerVR cards can likewise.

Also I didn't see 5000 comments, just two, could be that 4998 of those people were probably not interested or surprised and didn't bother posting, but anyways, I was hoping for new research, not some redone thing many other newbies have shown.

Also 3D Mark Doesn't even have a software mode! So to get that working, you probably of used an alternative dedicated program to make that even plausible.

Sorry man, but you would have to be a lot clearer on what you really used over just leaving somethings out and making it all look spotless.

But then again my comment is what it is, as being this is a forum negative comments can happen and this is one of them.
