Hi, i'm testing out Raven Shield Demo on Voodoo 5500. I have seen a few people successfully running this game (with some texture problems). Do you mind sharing what 3DA settings you used? I'm having some problems with just 'emulate HW TnL' and 'voodoo flicker fix'. The vid card id's i have set to either ti4600 or radeon 8500. Same problems with textures and weird ribbon like errors.

The Ghost Recon demo made me look for similar games for the V5. I tried demos of R6 Rogue Spear: Black Thorn, and OFP Resistance. They look horrible compared to the Ghost Recon demo. I also tried Raven Shield demo, but no go without 3DA. Then i tried The Sum of All Fears demo, which seems to use the same engine as GR. So 3d graphics and gui are similar.

P3 1.0Ghz, 768MB, V5 5500, WinXP, Amiga Merlin driver, 3dfx tools.
2x AA, Edge AA enabled, every game gfx set to high except shadows are off (forgot to mention that on the GR demo shots). 800x600 24bit game setting, 32bit desktop.







Do these games look better on R9500 or FX5700 vid cards?

Just a few shots from the demo. First one is with every graphic option set to high and 2x AA. The others have a couple settings set to medium, with AA set to fastest. All are 1024x768 32bit on P3 1Ghz, 768MB, V5 AGP.







BTW, can the v5 play newer Tom Clancy games? I'm afraid this P3 machine don't have enough mem bandwith for software T&L.

I have successfully upgraded from Creative Banshee to V5 5500, but now having video playback problems. I have reinstalled Matroska pack, but right when video playback starts, the computer reboots.

Can anyone help?

Hello, i have a v5 on the way, what is the current best setup for v5 5500 for counter strike 1.6?

I have win xp pro. I used to play with banshee 16mb sgram, with evolution driver and mesafx. But i'm new to vsa-100, and confused as to what drivers and patches are the best for v5 5500.

Should i use amiga merlin 3.1 r1 with mesafx, or the 3.1 r11 with sfft, or what?

My hardware is p3 1100, with 512mb ram.
