Title: V5 6000, Quake 3 and Amigamerlin 3.1-R1
Post by: Minuteman on 26 March 2005, 09:53:15
Hello, I currently have a V5 6000 in my hands (which is not mine) and I'm having some little problems with Quake 3 Arena. In fact I can't run it un 1280x1024 or higher resolution using SLI, as soon as I do that I get an "Out of scan range" with a refresh rate of 30Hz on my screen.

What I tried:
- V5 5500 works fine in 1280x1024 in any SLI mode
- V5 6000 works fine in 1280x1024 with "one chip only" configuration, that means no SLI
- V5 6000 fails in 1280x1024 as soon as I use SLI (fastest performance or a FSAA mode)

I'm using Amigamerlin 3.1-R1 drivers with the provided MesaFX and Windows XP SP2. This sounds like a driver bug to me, what do you think about it?

Thanks

Try the AmigerMerlin 3.1 R6 beta that has a lot better V5 6K support.
