Different from what drivers? I use the 3dfx beta 3's (from NuAngel's site) with Descaler in WinXP with SP1. Everything works fine.

update, the btwincap drivers are better. I tried them once before, but wasn't getting any sound. I then reverted back to the Beta 3's. Now I use the btwincap drivers. The picture quality is way better. Use in conjunction with Dscaler.

seems to me 1 thing :
the btwincap drivers are not compatible with Visual Reality

Well, Visual Reality stopped working when I got my Radeon 9500. That's why I had to go looking St Elsewhere. Hence Dscaler. Besides, Dscaler works better than Visualy Reality; more options, and it also has better capturing. i.e. codec options.

Like what functions? The only thing that VR has and Dscaler doesn't have is the FM tuner. Well, I'm not too sure on that one. I haven't really ventured in that dept. Anyway, I hardly listen to the radio on my PC; usually in my car.

lecram, have you looked at the cpu utilization during the execution of Dscaler?

I have a voodooTV 200 and I have tried beta 3 together with Dscaler (unstable version, since the stable one has no support for Italian Pal-B), but I had a very poor quality and this problem (which I definitely don't like) with cpu usage. I wonder if this trouble happens to me only... [B)]

Visual Reality, by the way, does not work in WinXP (I have a 9700pro: it looks like the same problem you got)...

VR works in XP. Well it worked when I had my Voodoo 5. As soon as I got the Radeon, it stopped working. That's why I switched to Dscaler.
