Download the Voodoo1-Glide-Drivers :
ftp://ftp.ubisoft.com/PodUpgrade/glide.exe

Extract and copy them to the Windows/system folder in Win98.
You need glide.dll and sst1init.dll.

When a mainboard is suitable for a V5-6000, then a V5-5500 will run as well.
Look here :

Scroll down to the mainboard listing.

Metal gear solid 2 works on voodoo 4?

No, I never got it working on voodoo cards.
You can try, maybe the latest SFFT drivers work.
Or try 3D-Analyze, let us know your results.

How did you install the SFFT driver ?
I installed by setup.exe :D

Okay, here we go :
Do NOT use setup.exe !
Install by Device Manager.
Open the video card in device manager by right click, choose "properties", then "update driver".
Do NOT let Windows install automatically, choose "manual install".
Then point to the directory where you have the SFFT driver.

You can use any graphics card you like ( or to be more specific : any card that runs in your mainboard ).
But I would advise not to use a 3dfx card as a primary VGA (e.g. Banshee) as you would possible run into driver problems.
Back in the days I had a TNT2 as primary card with a single Voodoo2.
Later on it was a Geforce3.
Currently I am building a retro-rig, which will contain 2 Voodoo2´s.
Primary card there is a Matrox Parhelia.

There is a german topic about WoW and Voodoo4/5.
http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=237876&page=38

Translation :
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm v4.0.6.13xxx runs on Voodoo5 (Windows XP x86 + SFFT 1.6). Visual range has to be set to minimum.
Issues :
Screen flickering even with 2x SSAA.
Solution :
Run WoW in a Window.
Turn off Hardware Cursor.

In the above Thread there is also a screenshot with settings.

There once was a 3DHQ beta driver ( or was it alpha ? ) that tried to realize AF through T-Buffer.
Don´t know whether it was successfull but as this option is missing in up to date drivers, the answer is : No.

Nice one !
I like Abit boards, too.
Did you install the latest beta bios ? This may fix the wrong temperature readings.
I can send it to you if you like, as it is not for download on the abit page.

NVIDIA Video Cards / Need drivers Voodo Card

It would be much easier if you would post the Hardware-ID of the device you are searching drivers for.
To do so please do the following :
Open the graphics card in device manager with the right mouse button, click "Properties", then "Details", then post the line that begins with "PCI\VEN...".

The number you posted points to a Voodoo5, you may try this driver :

Looks like a dead card then, sorry.

Maybe the card won´t post because of a bad bios flash.
Read here :

Scroll down to the post of HankSemenec and do as he suggested.
Be sure to boot the pc with a non-3dfx primary graphics card.
