Title: ATTN: Voodoo 2 nuts - two V2s on one card
Post by: amp_man on 18 October 2003, 22:24:07
hey everyone, i've been cruising around ebay, looking for a voodoo 2 for my new system, and i found this: (http://i9.ebayimg.com/03/i/00/bd/06/8b_1.JPG) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2759508384&category=40157) it is a Quantum 3d Obsidian 2, it is basically 2 voodoo 2s in SLI on one board. i doubt this card has much use, since the last driver release from q3d was in 2000 and i doubt FastVoodoo2 would work with it, but i though i'd bring it up in case anyone wants to play with it current bid is 9.99.

wouldn't that thing cause/have some problems if both cards were giving output at the same time? yet it would be almost completely useless without it.

I have that card!  It's is/was the best v2 SLI card ever made, IMO.  I'm running FastVoodoo2 4.0 with it and it rocks.  If it's still available on e-bay, buy it if your looking for another card.

I'm with dainbramaged.  They're the ultimate Voodoo2s and are very desirable.  They work just the same as any Voodoo2 SLI on the 3dfx reference drivers (except for a memory-tuning registry hack).  And they look mean and business-like in a nice windowed case! :D
