I have a second question.

If ThunderGL is not an option for my trident blade I7 on my old laptop. Is there an other option to speed up D3d or Opengl.

The way of thinking is this:

Games that run on that trident blade 8MB card does require no more than a pentium 166mmx to run good. That laptop is 500Mhz. So games that will run on that laptop don't need all the CPU power. I search a driver/wrapper that speeds op D3D or Opengl by using some CPU power.
Or is this a stupid question i ask ??

Ok, so what are your best 3DFX moments of your life

Mine was when I upgraded my S3virge DX [xx(] to a Biostar Voodoo Rush and played need for speed with 3dfx and unreal 1.
The graphics where really outstanding.

The second moment approx. 2 years ago.
In a computershop in the netherlands ( De regenboog ) they sold old stuff but it was new hardware. I saw new voodooII's for 15 euro. I always wanted to test the sli setup of voodoo's.
So i bought 2 cars en installed them in a AMD duron 800.
I was really impressed by the performance from these old cards. I never aspected that. I tested al night long with old glide games but also new games.

because of that passive cooling ?

I had a 3D prophet 4000 32MB who kicked ass my ATI Rage 128pro 32 MB.

Kyro had one very good development: Tiled based rendering ( i think that was the nam )

its sad that the kyro2 didn't had T&L support

The voodoo3 2000 8MB isn't that a rare card ?

I wonder how the Benchmarks are of V3 2000 8MB vs. V2 1000 12MB :)
