Hello again!

I have a question,  is the following one:
I have a friend, who he has a VOODOO4 4500 TV-OUT. And I am thinking to change my VOODOO5 5500 (I have 2), by his VOODOO4 4500 TV-OUT. I am crazy?[:I]

Can you ask him, how has he get the card ? Has the card also an DVI output ? SO, a voodoo4 with TV-OUt should cold Voodoo4 4800 ;)

The Voodoo4 4800 is not one.  ;) he bought it new (is the Voodoo4 4500 TV-OUT)

He bought it computer store. And it does not has exit DVI...
I think is a model the powercolor! But I don't know because still I haven't seen it! ;)

I thought the V4/5 were only made by 3dfx?

There are several other models of Voodoo4 4500 cards. Most of them were intended for the asian market. The Voodoo5 series was only made by 3dfx. The SLI configuaration was far more complicated than a single chip solution and there were very few companys wich worked with 3dfx chips.

no the card belongs not to me.. =)

as Hiero has mentioned, there are a few companys , for example Asus !, which has also produced.. there for example also, very few onboards Voodoo3 2000 solutions, they are but not normal, they have only 8 Mb sgram.

don't forgot that this PowerColor is a V4 4500, so a V5 5500 will be always better

Yeah, the 4500 with DVI and tv, a voodoo5 5000.... They maybe good for a collector but if you still want to play you'll need at least a 6000.
When I was looking for a Voodoo5 5500 I didn't know very much about the prices. I saw a Voodoo5 5000 AGP with 32MB on ebay Germany. As I didn't know the card was that rare I thought it was crap an I didn't bid before it ended at 50Euro (=50$)
Hey but I wouldn't use it in my pc anyway :)

a 6000 for the game ? hum, perhaps you're rich but i guess that the majority can't buy a V5 6000, very rare and expensive...
so a V5 5500 stays really reasonable ;)

well, myself, want to exchange my almost new V5 5500 PCI for a V4 PCI OR AGP 1.5V with Tv-out, if anyone..... let say ..... sloomy? please someone!

Him only the Voodoo4 4800 PCI has a TV-out, and the powelking  evilking4 , but o don't know. if the card will work with 1,5 V. If i will get any information , i will let you know..

Have you got originel box, and all other stuff , which has came with the card?

I have the original box, manuals, CDs, and stuffs, card is only a month usage old (not joking ;), bought it new). I want to exchange because my PC has probs with V5s, always freezing on XP, sometime on 98 but less... tested on other PCs, working fine.... anyway, the PCI would be great for 2nd card(would be better), or AGP 1.5V to remplace my GF4MX when I want to use it.

was working fine before with my Banshee...

Where dom you have bought it ?, How much does it cost ?

We don't know, that my Voodoo5 5500 on APG 4x  will work or not, i haven't tried it yet, have less time and litte money, but i would not sell the V5, and Voodoo4 , either your mother board should work in 3,3 for Powercolor Evilking4, or you have to "find" a Voodoo4 4800 PCi ,which is an engineering sample, as far as i know, there was only one example , from which we our picture comes, and it is realy hard to find another one...

maybe you have to change your motherboard, KT266 or KT333 chip or Asus P4S 533 motherboard are very good for voodoo's...
and they are not too hard to find  ;)

I got it off ebay, cost me 65.00£/140$CAN there is still a lot remain for anyone interseted (buy is now) - http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2758817320 - still scealed in his plastic bag , box in perfect condition.

Mine is an A7V8X, (KT400), maybe because of some system conflicts but I cant find.... My mobo only supports 1.5V AGP cards, or, of course, PCI ones, my Banshee is PCI, a Diamond Monster Fusion.

yes they are for 6 ns. The number beneath the " TC-.." shows the latency times.

enjoy the voodoo4 , but beware, as far as i know is only the evilking4 is not agp4 compatitable. Correct me, if it's false..

PS: On your Voodoo5 AGP, you have two pieces of Voodoo3 heat sink , don't you ?

As far as I know, Hank said that all voodoo cards if they have  the notch as agp4x, they are really agp4x (they have support to agp4x). I hope not to be confused! ;)

Yes I have it. The pieces is a dissipator for PIII. But I cut it for the half. Then everything  perfect!
The next time, I will buy a dissipator (6 cm), and then, I will reduce edge until to do the base of 5 cm [8D]
