Hello everyone.  I'm trying to run Portal on my laptop with 3D Analyzer.  Everywhere I look, 3D Analyzer works with this game.  However, when I check emulate pixel caps, I get a white screen.  The game runs, but I cannot see anything but a white screen.  The intro video plays fine though (I can see it).  I'm using a .bat file to start Portal.  What settings are needed to run the game successfully?  This laptop doesn't have any Pixel Shaders and upgrading is not an option.  Any help appreciated.  Used Version 2.34 and 2.36b.
PS:  I have tried various options like emulate other dx 8.1 caps, etc.
PS2:  In wireframe, I can see everything (of course in wireframe), the game is playable, but it's not fun playing it in wireframe.
PS3:  As far as I know, Portal only goes up to Pixel Shader 1.1.  Skipping Pixel Shader 1.1 with cause rendering problems. (nothing but a few lights show up)
PS4:  I'm having trouble narrowing the problem.  Different video drivers don't help, and I even tested a similar laptop, same results.
CPU:  Intel Celeron Northwood @ 2 GHz (aka, low grade Pentium 4)
GPU:  ATI Mobilty Radeon
This IBMs hardware IDs are very strange, so specific hardware models aren't available.  My guess is to stick with my original laptop's specs.
I could really use a hand to help me out here.

Laptop specs:
GPU:  ATI Radeon IGP 320M
CPU:  AMD Athlon XP 2400+ Mobile
