Title: Everquest 2 on GeForce MX series
Post by: Ethologus on 18 June 2005, 04:59:41
I have seen someoen who says they have done it, but I cant get in contact with him. I have the same problem. The MX series doesn't have the right vertex/pixel shaders, and doesn't have enough texture layers.

EQ2 requires 4 texture layers, and I believe version 1.1 of the shaders.

Anyone have an ideas on what boxes to check? I have managed to get a blank black screen, but no error messages about shaders or texture layers by checking emulate pixel shader caps and emulate max sim textures.

The person got on with only some textures invis or white blocks, black sky, and blocky fire so I must not be checking something since I only have a black screen.

Thanks for any help I receive.

try enabling "emulate pixel shader caps" uder Hardware Limits, and "shaders" under ANTI-DETECT MODE.maybe force and skip pixel shader 1.1 under Pixel and Vertex Shader as well..

Hello, I am also running on a GeForce 4 MX video card. But I don't know much about computers, so, where exactly am I supposed to check these boxes? I checked the Everquest 2 setup and it wasn't there. Thanks,

Pinny.

Thanks! I got the software and did exactly like you said, but, it still shows up as a blank black screen. Any other things I should try out? Thanks
