Title: Psychonaughts (game) Error
Post by: inductioncoil on 31 March 2006, 20:42:31
The first error message I received immediately when trying to play the game was:

The DirectX has reported that your video card does not support pixel shader version 1.x. The game requires support for pixel shader V1.0 or later in order to run properly.

I fixed this by selecting these boxes in 3D-Anaylze v. 2.36b (I also tried 2.26, someone said that would work better)

emulate HW TnL caps
emulate pixel shader caps

After the game displayed the text: "Assembling Shaders ..." (which is normal) and loaded the two first animation sequences, the game crashed and I was given this:

(null), line -1
Crash: 0xc0000005
If you have VS.NET installed, you can try to attach the dubugger
Otherwise, click OK

I'm not sure what VS.NET is and I don't think I have it on my computer.

If anyone knows how I can fix this, short of buying a new video card, please let me know. (I have 64MB NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X)
