when building a SLI System do I have to take 2 identical Voodoo 2 Cards?

Does the following points matter?

Video Ram both 8mb / 12mb or even mixed possible?
Videocard manufactor , Creative or diamond mixed up possible?

doesn't really work... ?! what Glide files do I have to insert? when I just rename it like the origin glide file from the game it gives me an error..

only thing that worked was in Halflife

how is it possible to choose in Games with witch card I want to play?

I have now a Voodoo 3 and a Voodoo 2 in my System. Id like to test and compare how the games run on both cards. Unfortunatly when I chose now a 3dfx glide driver in games it automatically choses the voodoo 3 card.

It was the PSU!!!! Works great now!!!

I first installed the Voodoo 2 Card on Windows 7 computer it ran like a charm. So no prob with the card.

I used a 750w Power Suppply but I couldn't even start the pc with that.

Im sure about the switchings the games dev. run on the 3dfx card then after 5 secs the PC stops working (like you unplug the electricity)

Also tried different pci slots.

I changed the drivers again to the original ones from 3dfx. Same result

I think its dev. a matter of Hardware... but its so strange.

Why does the PC turn off automatically. ?

hi there, how much is the power consumption of a 3DFX Voodoo3 3000 ?

I only have a 145w Power Supply.

I have a Intel 810 chipset motherboard with a Celeron 500 CPU.

There is an onboard graficscard. When I put a Diamond Monster II 3D 8MB Card in it the PC will shutdown in Games after 5-10 seconds.

any ideas ?

I only have a 145w Power Supply but the awarage consumption is around 70 watts and the Voodoo Card itself should use max 30watts I believe.

but how can I run half life in gilde under windows 7 ?

How Can I make screen shots while running a game under glide?

is this phisically possible? I though only a Voodoo 2 in SLI Mode can handle that resolution doesn't mather if single card is 8mb or 12mb ?!

well it finally worked but only on UNREAL and Unreal Tournament

ok now Unreal Tournament was playing under 3dfx...

what about resolution higher than 800x600 not working with 8mb version?

I have installed

3Dfx Voodoo 2 SLI (secondary mismatched)
3Dfx Voodoo 2 SLI (secondary)

this does not work... Do I have to install SLI Drivers in anyway also when just 1 card is installed? Does it matter what the main graphics card is? I have a GT 430 with only a DVI output. But I don't have to install the VGA Loop cable in order to get a picture of the voodoo 2 card right?

When I start tomb raider II demo I only can choose the primary graphicscard driver
