General Discussions / 3dfx Power Supply?
09 September 2009, 14:49:58
Seller has replied that "for the way it looks like, it's a 3dfx one. The product is excellent". I don't know why, but I don't believe the seller. I think the manufacturer is using 3dfx logo, but it's not being produced by 3dfx. [xx(]

General Discussions / 3dfx Power Supply?

Hey!, I'm from Argentina and I saw at the local e-Bay like web page (MercadoLibre) a guy that sells a 3dfx 500W Power Supply. I'm really surprised because the box has printed the newer 3dfx logo on it what it makes it look more real. Did you know about 3fdx producing power supplies?. And if it's a 500W it should have no more than 2 years old. Here's the link (in spanish): http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-58205236-fuente-atx-24pin-3dfx-500w-reales-_JM

QuoteHi, sorry I don't mean to Necromance old thread but I just bought an MSI MSI K7T266 Pro2-A Mobo (for my Voodoo5 5500 of course). The questions are:

- Does it support Althon XP processor higher than 2000+? How about Barton?

Take a look at:

Are you guys thinking in release a driver set for the upcoming Windows Vista Operating System in both 32 and 64 bits?

It seems that something at a hardware level is deffective. I would do a fresh install. Uninstall Voodoo2 drivers; take the video board out of the PC. Turn the PC on with the Voodoo2 not plugged in. Clean every registry entry; delete every driver file that could possible still be around. Download the drivers again and leave them ready for installation. DO NOT USE THE SAME PACKAGE OF DRIVERS THAT YOU USED BEFORE. Then, turn the PC off and start all over again. Plug the Voodoo2 in a different PCI slot -if possible-; install the drivers again and see what happens.

Hi guys, I would like to tell you what is happening when I wanna play Redline Racer to me -a rather old arcade about motoracing-. I got a PowerColor evilKING (Voodoo2). I installed FastVoodoo2 4.0 XP GE drivers; everything fine!.

But when I want to play the game, I got a 2/3 seconds of delay between the time I press a key, and the reponse I got. For example I want to set the username; I press the first letter of my name, and between 2/3 seconds later, the letter appears. In shuch scenario, it's impossible to play.

If I set the compatibility mode to Windows 95, this problem is gone. But when the game is finnishing the loading process, it asks me for the CD -this doesn't happen if I play in Windows XP compatibility mode-. The CD is inserted in it's drive.

Do you know what could I do to solve this issue?.

QuoteWhich driver are you using?

I'm using FastVoodoo2 4.0 XP GE.

I'll try V-Sync via driver control panel and I'll let you know how it worked.

My system specs:

MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum motherboard
MSI NX6600 Diamond video card
2 x Diamond Monster 3D II 8Mb. each in SLI
AMD Athlon 64bits 3000+
1Gb RAM (2 x 512Mb)
Maxtor SATA II 6V200E0 200Gb HDD
WinFast TV 2000
Samsung CDRW

The driver works fine to me. No problems at all with games. I tested RedLine Racer, Quake and Unreal Tournament. The only bad thing I experienced, is that when I want to do Alt+Tab, they don't swith to the Windows Desktop, and the image freezes. I cannot get back to the game too.

Hi guys, I'm experiencing some rain like horizontal glitches in the image when I use the Diamond Monster 3D II cards -no matter the game-. I want to know if this effect if produced by the drivers, or it could be related to some hardware problem.

MSI NX6600 Diamond Video Card
1Gb of RAM (2 x 512Mb)
AMD Athlon 64Bits 3000+

Maxtor 6V200E0 HDD 200Gb (SATA II)
