Post by: Tink on 11 December 2003, 13:50:31
Hey ive been trying to get counter-strike, team fortress, half life ect ect to work but the game always hangs after a few minutes of playing, anyone got any ideas how to fix this??

ok my puter is
Pentium 2 450
windows 98
128mb ram
directx 9
Quantum3d raven/voodoo banshee graphics card

Ive tried loads of 3rd party drivers and ive ended up having to format my puter so many times im going to scream if it screws up again, any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Are you an impatient guy?:)
Because if the answer is NO, then you can wait a few days and then play it with the new Mesa/FX dll[8D]. I'm currently testing the last build, and these games are running really fast and good in my Banshee. (In fact, now looks better than the old 3dfx ICD one).

Cya.

Oh, I forgot...
And, if you can wait few more days, I'll release a new driver set, that will be really good for you and your games...[8D]:D

@Raziel64

I can't wait ! :D

@Tink

mmmh, maybe the Banshee chip is overheating. My own experience with my Guillemot Maxi Gamer Phoenix : first sample that i bought did overheat and freeze, second sample didn't !
Check with Koolsmoky's tool V.Ctrl the clockspeeds, set them to 100 MHz.
Good luck !

Best regards
