General Discussions / Voodoo 2 with 3 Tmu's
08 July 2005, 23:49:19
Are there any (that you guys know of) officially build voodoo 2 based cards with 3 tmu's? The whitepaper says that it's possible to do, cause the voodoo 2 was designed for max 3 tmu's. Or do you guys know anyone that has tried to build such card?

Benchmarking / Benchmarks for 3dfx-altar.com
30 June 2005, 10:24:30
Hello everyone,

It's time to refresh my benchmark page with some new benchmarks. To do this I really need your help. Go to http://www.3dfx-altar.com and see the "user benchmarks"-page. I prefer benchmarks like the one of my own. If anyone has any suggestions for other benchmarks, please let me know.

Hi everyone,

As some of you may know, I have my own 3dfx-site. On this site someone has send me a question:

QuoteVoodoo3 3500 tuner and I can\'t switch from NTSC (US) to PAL-M (Brazil). It\'s greyed-out... any hints? Currently using 3dfx VisualReality TV Tuner Version 3.10.06 Build 406.
Thanks Guys

Joe

Since I don't really know a lot about 3dfx voodoo3/tuner cards, I was wondering if anyone knows the sollution to his problem. As soon as I know the sollution from you guys or from research, will send this guy a mail right away!

Any help is welcome!

Thx

Hello everyone!

As you all know, it's going very nice with my website. Thx to the info you guys gave me! It's time now to change the weird url (i-cey.net) to a .com or .net or .nl! Personally I like the .com. This is gonna cost me 12 euro's a year, which doesn't bother me at all! It's all for 3dfx!

So my question to you guys is: Do you guys think that the site name is ok? The Altar of 3dfx, which will result in the url www.3dfx-altar.com . Or do you guys think I have to name my site different? What name? What url? All suggestions are very much appreciated! This is also a site for you guys, so you may also decide!

Is it possible to add my link from 3dfx altar to the links on 3dfxzone.it? Would you guys like to add it?

Hello everyone!

I was just wondering which newer (dx 9 capable) cards are still compatible with my old bx board? This board has a 3.3v, 2x agp slot. I know older agp 4x cards are backwards compatible. But all new cards are agp 8x, and that might not be compatible. Is there any of u guys that run a new agp 8x card on a bx board? Or does anyone know what the newest possible card would be for my system ? Thx

Hello guys,

I was just trying to run halflife 2. It runs great! Except for one thing. When I go to the graphical-settings menu, and adjust some things, and click on apply... Windows gives some major error. Kabaaaam, halflife 2 knocks to the desktop. Is this because of the voodoo card, or is there some directx fix, driver fix or something to fix that? It's the halflife 2 demo.

Hello everyone,

Im thinking of starting a linkpage like http://www.startpagina.nl for 3dfx users/owners and people with interest. I need to have nearly 100 links to other sites about 3dfx or related items. I was just wondering if that's possible, i don't know that many 3dfx related sites. If you guys know it's possible, then please post all the links to pages you know. If not, it was worth the try. Thx, Bas Kapteijn[8)]

Hello everyone,

As you guys know, im working on a 3dfx site. What I would like to know, especially from hanksematic, is what known card mods are done. Im wondering if there are any mods like:

Voodoo 2 with more than 12 mb memory, of other voodoo cards with more memory.

Euh, things like that, real mods done by amatures. If anyone knows any amature mods, please tell me :)

Hello everyone!

For the people that didn't know, I've started a website about 3dfx a few days ago. Under "drivers" visitors can find my latest driver benchmarks. I would like to ask you guys who would like to see their names on my site and would like to contribute, to send me the details of their system and benchmark results. See drivers on http://3dfx-i-cey.net for more information. Thank you!

Hello everyone,

Maybe this had been said before, but I can't get Mesa 6.2 to work with Unreal Tournament (not 2k3 or 2k4.). How can I get it to work? Greetings, Bas

Hello everyone,

I've just started a site about 3dfx. Here you can find a lot more about the history of 3dfx and some more details on the cards they've made. But it's not nearly as finished as I want it to be. So what I wanted to ask is if you guys want to give me comments on how to improve the site. Comments on the information, pictures, links, layout etc. Just contact me if you have any suggestions by clicking on Contact on http://3dfx.i-cey.net. Thanx!:)

Hello everyone,

I've just updated my 3dfx Voodoo 5 5500 AGP card drivers from Amigamerlin 3.0 to 3.1 R1, and found out that I get all kinds of errors in windows with that driver. Most of the time I get blue screens. After rebooting, windows gives an error that's related to the 3dfx glide driver. Does anyone have any experience with this? Maybe it's related to the hardware mouse option I've enabled in the 3dfx tweak panel?
