i install my Voodoo 3, run Windows XP x64 bit Edition, but card detects only like Standart VGA adapter. I will try to install exists Win32 drivers, but i think it will not help. How can we know about future compatibility between Voodoo and XP64?

I have many Voodoo Cards, and i will install Voodoo 2 SLI or Voodoo 3 3000 PCI, but i'll do it when x64 drivers will be ready.
Hmmm, maybe today i try Voodoo 3 PCI, will see...

Hi,

The trouble with 2D is due to "buggy" Catalyst drivers. I've been using a couple of Voodoo2 in SLI under Win98SE with Matrox G200, S3 Savage4, Nvidia GeForce256 DDR (by Creative) and PowerVR Kyro II (by Hercules), and none of them showed any incompatibility problem with 3dfx cards. Recently I got an ATI Radeon 9000 Pro (by Gigabyte) and desktop began to show garbage, corrupted icons and mouse pointers, incomplete texts and general unstability. I tried different Catalyst drivers (3.8, 4.2) with 3dfx's official 3.02.02 and some FastVoodoo2 releases, but nothing solved the trouble. The garbage dissapeared only when I took both 3dfx cards off the system.

Moral of the story: don't mix Radeon and Voodoo2 cards together.
Thanks for your your reply.Today i will make my Radeon to be ATI FireGL card by installing special Soft FireGL driver.
Will see what will happend.:)

thanks for support, White Voodoo Master..but during the develope of the mismatched, my primary objective was to run everything fine..the "make up" will be in a far future, i suppose, i am very busy busy busy busy at the moment..if you want, feel free to mod them, no problem..!

the one thing that i surely do the next release is to ripristinate the old 3dfx welcome screen..do you remember it?;)
Oh yes!I remember. I'ts very nice that you do not forget to update your drivers!:) I'am understand that you very very busy.Me too.
I have much experience in 3DSmax and i have and idea. What if my experience may be used to write demo in GLIDE mode?
Maybe it's stuped, but i supose it would be very interesting for Voodoo fans:)
Can you say how soon you will make new drivers release?:)

yes, is so.. compliments for the sharpness..!
i solved also taking both voodoo2 to 97 mhz using voodoo2 oc

the problem "with icons" is guilt of the radeon i suppose..

if you are in contact with andre onsnovich why don't ask to him to develope the windws xp version of his driver?[:p];)

Regards, Manuelson
I am not in contact with Andrey. In Windows 98 i need to solve problem with icons because after some time of working i can't understand anything on my screen. So i heart that Amigamerlin XP had some problems with Radeon 9xxx cards. But all those problems are gone.Maybe i'll try to fix this? Oh yes! When i install one Voodoo2 everithing is FINE.
And one more question. Why you can't change the standart 3Dfx drives design.I mean icons pictures menus.I think its very nice to see some differences between standart and mismatched drivers. If my idea is interesting for you i am ready to help:)

Don't forgot that A. Osnovich wrote :
Note that this kind of SLI mix has some potential  unsafety being caused by possible differences in board architectures. I'm not aware of. So this binary is supplied as-is. It is your responsibility to decide whether to use it or not.
I know. But on my system everithing is ok.And all this notes about board diferences is not for me:)
In my system everithing is fine. But i have one problem (with all version of mismatched drivers)
I have a trouble with 2D.When windows 98 start, part of icons is white. And some text is _________
So i tried to reinstall many ATI catalyst drivers but nothing has happened.I could not soul this problem yet.
Maybe you know wat is it.Oh yes! I forget! When i install Matrox Mistique 220 PCI 4Mb evrithing ok.Maybe its Radeon's problem?
And one more about. With your drivers, when Vsync is disabled i have a picture problem in Glide API.For example in Unreal when i move mouse fast part of lines going left and another going right. When Vsync is enabled all is OK.I think it's because one Voodoo is 90Mhz and another is 93Mhz.And when the rendering in SLI one of them is slower than another one.I am waiting for WinXP release of mismatched drivers!:))

maybe is anrei osnovic
Heh! This is ANDREI OSNOVICH.And those drivers (Modified Glide and D3D drivers) was written in 2000
This drivers kit is "Upgrade" to final Voodoo 2 drivers under Windows98 by 3Dfx interactive inc.
So i can say that is very good and stable drivers. Now i use them. But if you will update your product by fixing all those little bugs. Who knows maybe tommorow i'll install your driver kit.I dont know what drivers is faster - it is not a main problem. My opinion is: Drivers for mismatched Sli Voodoo 2 must be stable and compatible with mos games.

the "win 98" release of these drivers for windows 98 is almost perfect.. when i'll have a bit of time, i'll try to solve the problem on the windows xp release although i haven't developed them..
Ok.Thanks for your reply.Hmmm.In Windows 98 when Sli is enabled drivers didn't detect 24Mb ram on my Voodoo. But when i install mismatched drivers from RUSSIAN developer it detects 24 Mb perfectly.I know that it's not a trouble but i think you must fix this bug( if you want and have a time:))) Good luck!

The mismatched drivers are not gauranteed to work every time, and  Monster3D II is not reference compatible,so don't expect to ever get those cards working together in SLI.  I'd advise you to aquire an identical card to one of your existing ones.  I have a Creative Lab's 3D Blaster II that won't work with reference boards in SLI.  This is commonly the case with Diamond/Orchid/Creative Voodoo2's.
In Windows 98 my Voodoo cards works perfectly!I think this is only drivers problem. Those drivers didn't work at all.
I will wait full version of this drv and then will test it on my system

Who can tell me when author of this driver will fix this BUG? And how soon we can see new windows 98 mismatched drv
?And one more question. How to fix bug with my SLI mismatched Voodoo cards. Its not good that i turn off Radeon 9800Pro -Secondary
sorry for my english.
