Title: ati radeon 7000 pci, hardwareTnL?
Post by: sps on 07 March 2004, 14:44:19
i  recently got a 2nd computer(dell), with 64mb of onboard graphic memory. however, it doesnt support HTnL, and the motherboard doesnt have any agp slots, so i cant transfer my 9200 pro. i saw a ati radeon 7000 pci 64mb ddr, which should suffice  as i spend less time on gaming and more on watching dvds.
but i cant seem to find out whether it has HTnL.
thanks,
       sps

I think the first radeons with hardware TnL were the 7500s. Check this (http://www.ati.com/products/radeon7000/radeon7000/index.html) out, no hardware TnL listed.

And how about R9000 PCI or R9200 128Mb PCI ? Not too expensive and works ok (enough for UT2003 @1024x768x32 all max)

Perhaps someone might help when you create a new thread for it, instead of hijacking this one [V]

True, but the original radeon was renamed to the 7500 (methinks). Odd that they created lower models after the original, sounds like something Nvidia would do.
