Here's a suggestion (afterall, that's what this subforum is for, right?):
Get a new forum. Invision Power Board or so.
The current one you're using is well, annoying.
It lacks several key features that other forums do have and handles several features in very odd ways. Like your signature, it's placed as a part of the message so when you edit the message, it shows the "edited by" line below the signature.
Remember, it's just a suggestion.

Holy Crap! Good idea...I wanted to mention it, but really thought anyone minded...also, other boards will be able to see who's online, etc...
There are also other board styles out there than IPB...I liked the one that 3dhq used...not sure of the name...

We are thinking about this: new features will be added to this engine or a new engine will be installed. Note that a new engine does not match with current database so we should lose all topics, very useful for 3dfx users...

One thing I absolutely would like to see changed are those folders which tell you if there are new posts in a topic or 20 or more posts or if it's locked. They're okay, but there's one missing. The "20 or more replies" for when there's no new reply in the topic.
Now, it always looks like there's a new reply in the topic.
Another thing I'm missing is that you can't set the number of topics per page and the number of posts per page. Right now it only shows 15 topics per page in any subforum and 15 posts per page in any topic.
Then there's the thumbnail thing.
In this forum you can either post a link to an image or an entire image but not a thumbnail. (I assume you know what a thumbnail is and how it works)
Avatars.
I'd like to be able to upload one of my own, like possible in so many other forums.
And the last thing for this post is:
Signatures.
Signatures are supposed to stick at the bottom of your post, always!
They are not a part of your post, just like your name, status, your avatar, where you're from and how many posts you've got.
They also should be placed in a smaller font size so that they do not distract attention from the message itself.

A "Mark All Posts Read" link would also be very usefull.

The "20 replies or more" icon looks like the "New posts since last logon" because the folder is orange.
There should be another icon for the "New posts since last logon" with a grey folder for if there are no new posts in the topic.
For now...active users feature is already working while "20 replies or more" icon color is better...

I have another suggestion, although I don't know if it is possible or not. I have noticed that in other forums, your signature will be identical for all posts, so if I were to change my signature, it would change in all my posts. With the current system, it only changes in posts made after the change is made in the profile. But this is just a suggestion.
By the way, I like how the forums have been reorganized

Your signature will be updated in all posts writed after our new board configuration on 11/18/2003. In this date only we actived "dinamic" signature...I'hope being clear.
