Ah, for multi monitor, gotcha....
That's why you suggested the V3, I thought you knew some way to feed two cards through one monitor with some kind of software switch to toggle them.

Does anyone know why the sun would be black in Morrowind? It's a driver thing I'm sure but I've tried every V5 driver I could find for 9x and none of them seem to hit it. (evolution,x3dfx,mikepedo,amiga,&nu)

>what is the wattage of your power supply? could just be power problems.

Power supply is 350 or 375 watts. (doesn't matter I keep 7 or so around just in case what's the recommended?)

>also, try to power the voodoo seperately from any hard drives or cdroms

V5 is powered by its own line, the only other thing on it is the front fan (was the only wire that would reach I've got one of those old alienware hydraulic cases, really tall)

>ME is unstable as a game platform. have you access to 98SE?

Yeah, I was running it till today, I can switch back, no problem.

>dual video in a win9X system (98 ME etc.) takes a reg tweak but works sweet.

cool.... what's the tweak? (hardware-wise it's one in the agp and one in the second pci down right? Do I need a splitter for the monitor cable, two monitors or will software just transfer control back and forth between one?)

and yeah the V3 is pci (did they make a 2000 agp?) Why would using it be a good idea, seems kinda redundant. (no offence I'm just curious)

yeah I just got the card today so I haven't even thought about which cooling options to go for etc... (recomendations welcome) I'm getting lots of crashes and glitching all around since I installed this card, so my guess is heat. Sucks really, my V3-2000 is so stable, I never had one problem from it, oh well. This thing is pretty on the games it works well with. BTW how does one go about running multiple cards in the same system? I've never gotten it to work quite right.

Hi.
Well I finally got one: a brand-spanking new, never been out of its plastic Voodoo5 agp. Finally I can trash the junk geforceMX I kept for 32bit games and my beloved Voodoo3 can take a well earned rest.

I am having some odd problems with this new voodoo however and was hoping for some help. Here we go.
I notice flickering white lines and dots in games, like tearing but really fast. This happens on newer DX8/D3D games like Morrowind and on older DX7/Glide games like Shiny's Messiah (in fact messiah even flickers at the title screen which is odd.)

Also my desktop.... breathes occasionally. (technically the pincushion warps in and out, but for all the world it looks like breathing) This only happens on the desktop.

Last does FSAA work in all games or only some? I noticed it instantly in Messiah and other glide games, but it doesn't seem to do anything in Morrowind.

OK now the helpful specs and data.

Voodoo5 5500 agp - Raziel64's evolution v1.01.16

I'm guessing maybe this is heat related? I'm not too familiar as none of my other cards were big heat monsters, so I don't know what to look for. Thanks for looking, Hope someone can help.

I'm not sure what you tweaked in this latest beta, dborca (since everyone else could run the game already but me) but Uplink finally works. No wierd artifacts anymore, not even in accellerated mode. I haven't got to try it with NWN yet. Maybe after I upgrade to 2k this week I'll have time. Anyway your work is most appreciated on this end.

Thanks a million, you're fantastic.
