Hi guys. I solved my previous problems with my voodoo. It was the PC CHIPS Motherboard.
Now I got a new computer and before I buy an video card, I'm using a Voodoo 3 2000 PCI. But I can't play D3D-based games with this card.
Can anyone help me? Can Voodoo play D3D games, mainly the DX 9 ones?
Thx all
Cya
Which OS? Using Windows XP, the SFFT is the best choice for Direct3D: https://www.3dfxzone.it/dir/news/3dfx/sfft_alpha42_voodoo3_4_5/

Hi Raff3DC, thx for answer me.
I Use Windows XP SP2, on a Athlon64 3500+ socket AM2. The MB is a Gigabyte GA-M55SLI-S4. I'm using the lastest SFFT but i dont run the Direct3D games.
Before u ask me, I will buy a video card soon :P
But right now, I need to run some games on this card.
Can u help me?
Thx again.
Hm, any error messages when trying to start a game? Do Glide or OpenGL games run (Quake 2/3, Unreal Tournament, Deux Ex, Rune, etc.)?
Greetings,
Raff
I cant Start game based on OpenGL and Glide, but great games (Like Alien Shooter 2) is D3D. Chankast (DreamCast emulator) is D3D-based to.
This is why I need to make the voodoo run on D3D plataform.

there is a limit on what an old card such as voodoo3 can run.you cant really expect it will run the latest D3D games..old ones should be ok,but you can forget about chankast and similar stuff.just have fun with some oldies until you can afford a new card-a radeon9550pro is a damn fine one,for example ;)
