Not OpenBSD, but FreeBSD (as host). Of course, OpenBSD is supported as guest. I hope it will be supported as host someday.
#2
OpenBSD? I don't think so, but I will be glad to see someday an OpenBSD version. Perhaps the right word is "OpenSolaris", not "OpenBSD" :)
#3
Well, I am sure this quality is possible with DX9, even with DX8.

Winrar 3.70 beta 5, not 3.61!

Damn, my MP 7900GS is better:

Geforce 7900GS PCI-E 256 MB, K8 3800+, NForce 4 - 4549 (SM2.0 - 2093, HDR/SM3.0 - 2223, CPU - 963)

On my newer computer (with K8 3800+ x2, NForce 570) - 4800!

Sunny beach is wonderful place, but Albena is better. Also, there are another good ones.

For V2 - keep in mind, that many modern motherboards just can't accept V2 - beeps like without memory. Example - Gigabyte NForce 4 SLI Pro.

I am from Bulgaria. Aren't you coming here for a summer vacancy? :)

Sorry, but my Voodoo Banshee is without TV-Out.
#8
Sounds too expensive... Where are you from? I can sell you one Voodoo Banshee PCI :)

Yes, Voodoo Banshee support D3D under Windows 2000/XP - recommended drivers are Banshee Evolution (the best), Voodoolizer for Banshee and some other. If you can find PCI version, you can use it virtually on any (future) PC.
About Cedega (you can try also wine - part of Linux, Crossover Office) - it is running under Linux. It does emulate D3D, but not Glide, with Cedega you can run games (DOS, Windows games), which requests hardware DX9 support on Voodoo Banshee,3/4/5, perhaps on V2 also, but not so fast. Of course, you must install linux drivers, which are installed automaticaly, except those for Nvidia or ATI card. Therefore, some Linux distribution (FreeSpire, Xandros) includes Nvidia and ATI drivers. About Glide support - you can still use Evoodoo or another Glide emulator, even with Cedega.

P.S. I forgot to mention, that you can buy KVM switch, with it you can control more than one PC with 1 keyboard, mouse, monitor - switching around PC's. So, your second computer will not take so much place :)

Well, tricky one. Your motherboard and videocard doesn't support Windows 9x... It's damn bad that Nvidia made such a decision.

I have Voodoo Banshee PCI - it work reasonable good with WinXP. Perhaps you need to obtain some PCI card like this one (or even non 3dfx). Or even better - you can assemble some old computer, or buy one - it's really cheap. I have about 5-6 old computers - from 286 to P3 600 MHz (also 486, Celeron's, some Cyrix and AMD 586).

If you can't do it, just search in the internet - you can find old computers at good price.

Another solution is to dual boot with some Linux and use Cedega emulator - it works with almost any Windows game and with almost any video card. BTW, I just wonder why newer Geforce's won't work with old games - I haven't seen such a problem.

Xpresser, if you need D3D, why you have to use V2 then? I think GeForce 7600GT is much much better in D3D then any Voodoo card, especially V2's :)
#12
Xpresser, try some Glide Wrapper - like evoodoo or simular. I have some, they work without voodoo hardware card, sometimes - very good. Also, take a look at glidos (http://www.glidos.net and other sites) - for DOS games under Windows.

This card is worse than 6600GT and even pure 6600.
I already tested one 7300 GS, comparing to 6600GT it is a nightmare.

Geri, you are wrong, there are many users!

I recommended your driver to many people in Bulgaria and they are using it.
I am using the regular version now. Perhaps I will test the extreme version in the weekend.

Damn :(

Very bad news...

About 2.2.5 fixed bugs - DirectX9/DirectX8/TnL support - NO - you just can't have TnL support, only emulation...

3dfx is not so dead. To many people still using Voodoo's, or at least emulators.

As example - I use Geforce 6600GT AGP + 2xVoodoo2 12 Mb PCI - for Glide support in many old games.
On my second computer I have Voodoo 5 5500 AGP. I have also Voodoo 3 3000 AGP, Voodoo 4 4500 AGP (4x compatible - ships in every AGP motherboard - from AGP 1x to 4x/8x), Voodoo Banshee AGP & PCI, Voodoo Rush Macronix, AT25 PCI, Voodoo 1 PCI. I missed only Voodoo 6 - haven't seen any real V6 around here (in Bulgaria).

But - it's your decision...
