Sometimes you may see in video games an object is shaded completely black and this may be because the game is too demanding of the video card... It simply can't render that objects texture fast enough. I think this may be the cause, judging your screen shot. Then again, it could be a 3d analyze bug. How good is your Geforce FX 5900 at running games without 3D analyse?

Running 3Danalyse as administrator may fix this (at least for Vista machines). It could work for XP.

Some games have a feature where
1. clicking on Start -> run
2 Type in the address of the .exe file for the game
3 Follow that address with " -window"
