although it only have Windows NT4.0 Driver, seems it can also used in Windows 2000 environment provide OpenGL acceleration..

Voodoo 3 3000
All low detail:
It's quite lag in my computer...maybe because of the CPU...

although it's an old game, it is an exciting game
and when i maxxed out the game detail and quality, the screen is quite beautiful that it's very good for a directX 5 game.
(when i can play it with decent framerate, why i need new titles and new display card?) This time with SFFT Alpha 21

from Tom's Hardware Guide -- a topic on Voodoo 2
http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/19980902/index.html

one question: for Quantum Obsidien 2 AGP, does it mean that the 2D card must be PCI? or it also have 2D display quality on the AGP card?

it's quite a rare card, i've never seen one before

download here:
ftp://ftp.gamesurf.de/pub/pc/sport/pes4/demo/PES4DEMO.exe

It runs great at 640X480 low detail (no lag when playing)
although the people are transparent like jelly fish

the game min.requirement is P3 800 + Radeon8500/GeForce 3, so another miracle done by 3DFX and SFFT

config of my system:
VIA C3 900MHz
V3 3000 @ 175/175 + SFFT Alpha 19

It's a free game (but need registration to use the tracks)
infos here: http://www.virtualrc.com/, need IE to shows correctly

it need 3Danalyze to force SW T&L in order to run, but all the tracks become white..when i force small texture, the game just won't run..
i thought it was driver problem so i switch my driver from AmigaSport 3.0XP to SFFT Alpha 16...now the game just won't run even with 3DAnalyze -- force SW T&L

anyone have any idea? i use Voodoo3 3000 with Windows XP
thanks a lot

It can run smoothly using V3 3000 (AmigaSport 3.0) and PII 350 with 384MB RAM
attached is a compressed screenshot and resized to 800X600

Voodoo3 3000
DirectX 9.0C
AmigaSport 3.0XP
Windows XP (w/o any Service Pack)

OpenGL is alright (CS:CZ 800X600 very smooth with MESAFX, just witout the mouse pointer)

but i can't get almost any DirectX Stuff to run (Freelancer can, but not CS:CZ in directX mode and 3DMark 2001, it just says that can't create device)

does anybody ever encountered any problem like this?
Thanks a lot!

Is ot possible?
anyone tried it?
coz those copper nails is impossible to remove (they hold the heatsink tightly)
is it necessary for me to use a metal clipper to cut them so i can remove the heatsink ?

(Actually i am thinking of getting a active heatsink or heatpipe heatsink for both memory and core)

for about $10 USD in a 2nd hand shop..
and put it into my temporary system
Duron 1.2GHz, 256MB PC100 SDRAM, AsRock K7VT2
i use SFFT Alpha 15...
i ran various benchmarks, and i am impressed with the image quality compared with V2 SLI (especially GLExcess)

but my mainboard have some problem (i think it's southbridge problem..), so too bad i can't play it long

(Seems i have to invest more on building a platform for V3, ^_^)

P.S. when i install SFFT Alpha 15, it always says that a file is missing in the help section, anybody have the same problem?
and although i can run Freelancer, i can't run DirectX related benchmarks like Fillrate Benchmark (i can run it using Radeon 7000PCI)
i dunno it's a software or V3 problem, can anybody help me to have a test? thanks a lot

I am totally satisfied with it (ahtlough i originally wanna get a V4/5, but it's extremely rare in Hong Kong here)

cards from 1999 - 2004

please notice especially the openGL part...

P.S. seems they use Amigamerlin 3.0 for Voodoo Driver, but dunno if they uses MESAFX or not
