I have bought a MS 6168. I have several Adapters for Socket 370 to Slot 1 Support.
Is it possible to run a 1300MHz Celeron Tualatin on a standard board with a standard Bios with an adapter?
Would a test damage the board?
What modification would I need if not?
Which BIOSes are safe to flash on the Board?

Using an adapter is not really a problem (i think).
But you will need to update the bios to get a better support for an other cpu.
So what's your bios manufacturer ?
Packard Bell's MS 6168 was released with an AMI bios.
MSI's MS 6168 was released with an Award Bios and you need at least the bios 1.2 in order to support the Intel Coppermine CPU (so about the Intel Tualatin ??).
Though this is what i read about the MSI bios :
"For Intel(R) Coppermine(R) CPU support, please check first if your mainboard have a blue sticker with the letter "C" located in the I/O chip, if yes, that means your system could support Intel(R) Coppermine(R) CPU. (The Winbond83977 I/O chip is located near the bios chip".
