Title: Serious Sam - 3dfx Voodoo 2 Compatiblity Mode
Post by: My_Spleen on 05 March 2011, 04:56:25
What is this? Is this the Glide version? There's no Glide logo when started this way, and the visuals and performance appear identical to the regular executable.

Anyone have any information?

Hi My_Spleen.

"3dfx Voodoo 2 Compatiblity Mode" of Serious Sam The Second Encounter game is useful if your primary (AGP or PCI) video card has OpenGL support and you want bypass it and force Serious Sam to use your 3dfx Voodoo 2 hardware.

By "3dfx Voodoo 2 Compatiblity Mode" the game calls OpenGL driver of Voodoo2 so you can tweak performance as well as quality by MesaFX -> https://www.3dfxzone.it/dir/3dfx/mesafx/index.php

Bye bye
