oh, sorry..
it says "the test fails on step 46 (GetDC): HRESULT=0x88760249 (can't build DC)"

it is directX 9.0c (a fresh install of win98 and fresh install DirectX9)
i removed the DX9 using a program and installs DX8.1 instead, now it can play DX things smoothly (like 3D Mark 2001 SE)
thanks a lot~~

maybe it's a problem from DirectX 9.0c

Right.
You obtain a problem under Direct3D 7 tests, perhaps under Direct3D 8 and Direct3D 9. (seems different for people).
Seems that since DirX 9, MS removed or didn't code the DxDiag tests to run on add-on cards.
(but under DirX 8.1 DxDiag will work perfectly).
So don't worry, this is "normal" now. [:p]

more i found:
in DX9.0c, all DX7,8 tests can't run (it saids the card don't support DX9 acceleration so the test is omitted by dxdiag)
but for DX9/0b, only DX7 test have error, the DX8 and DX9 tests runs flawlessly(it allows me to run DX9 tests also..strange)

maybe it's related to hardware since the new findings are from new system:
P4M 1.7GHz
256MB DDR 266
D845GLAD Onboard
V2 SLI + Fastvoodoo 4.6

No, this is not strange but only logical.
Why ? because under the Win2k kernel, the V2 is not supported in D3D.
So under Win2k, this is your main gfx which succeeds the Dx Diag tests. ;)

Quotethe DX8 and DX9 tests runs flawlessly
Would not be amazing if it was your main gfx card which succeded the test in fact.

Oh sorry when i try to run a opengl game the screnn gets white or the the loading screen dosent disappear when i start the game. And what has that to do with direct3d/directx well actually nothing except when i run the the directdraw or direct3d test in directx i also get a white screen.

what's your machine ? OS ? drivers ? what game(s) ? ...
Sorry for the questions but needs to be more precise  ;)

About the D3D test error, are you using DirX9 also ?
