Title: Voodoo 2 driver for windows 2000 (with direct3d )
Post by: coolmaniac on 18 July 2004, 11:25:43
hi all,

i have a pc running windows 2000 and i have two cards present on my pc (nvidia riva tnt and voodoo 2  )

the problem is that i cant find the right driver for voodoo 2 with direct3d enabled.

eventhough i have the 3d accelerator ..the peformance is very poor in games like Age of empires etc.

can anyone suggest how i enable direct3d ? and the right driver for my card ?

i think i have voodoo2 with 12mb ram.

any comments are welcome.
regards.

Hi, :)

Look that :

You will understand where are the problems under the Win2k kernel for the Voodoo 2.

The best would be to come back under Win9x or a dual boot (Win9x/Win2k) or perhaps an other main gfx card.

What's your machine and with what games do you play ?

That will be easier :) but not always easy probably.
Since i don't know your machine and games, don't forgot the limitations of the V2 : 256*256 textures, 16 bits, memory (8+4) ;)

I have Diamond Monster 3D II (Voodoo2 from Diamond) and it works at 800x600 32Bit with MESAGL library.
