Hi guys,
I succesfully build a Ryzen system with a V5 5500PCI in it, running Win98SE.
However, I'm dual booting with Win7x64 because I also want to use this machine with some modern comfort. Therefore I tried the SFFT 1.9 drivers, but Win7x64 keeps giving me the "device driver is not signed" message in device manager. I already have disabled the security option to allow unsigned drivers, but it still keeps displaying the yellow exclamation mark and keep the V5 inactive because of it.

So how exactly do we get the SFFT 1.9 driver to work in a Win7x64 environment ?
Thx in advance.

Hello AzzKickr and welcome :),
the installation procedure is correct, disabling the driver digital signature prompt.
The only thing to check is whether, when rebooting after installation, the driver digital signature request option is still disabled. If I remember correctly, this option is automatically re-enabled.
If this is the case, you either need to disable it on every boot or find a way to disable the driver's digital signature prompt permanently.

See you soon. :)
I am sorry for my English ;) :D

The thing is I already tried everything. Driver signing is permanently disabled but it still keeps refusing the driver.
Maybe something's wrong with my installation.
I think I'll just go for Win10 instead as I understood that the Basic Display Driver that gets installed automatically has good functionality, even some basic D3D on the V5.

I went with Win10 x64. The Basic Driver works flawlessly with basic D3D functionality and desktop translucency.

Machine is now dual boot with native W98SE and Win10.
