When you write a posting, below the big white windows there is a small button that reads "Image file upload: jpg or jpeg or gif extension and size <= 512kb
". Press that button and select the picture you want to post.
Thats all.

Get yourself a freeware / shareware picture editor, like Paintshop Pro 3.11 :
http://www.it.bton.ac.uk/Research/Archive/w3lessonware/toolset1/thrdprty/PSP311.ZIP
Start that program, load your picture and select RESIZE ( somewhere in the menus ). Try 640x480 or lower as new size, eventually reduce color depth to 16 bit.
You should be able to shrink your pictures to a size lower than 100 KB.

Another advice : When you post screenshots, try to keep the number under 10 ;) I'm on a 100mbit line and believe me i can take the load but whats irritating is that when I scroll down to see the last post it keeps going down because all of those screenshots need to be loaded. I understand you are very excited and want to show us how great it looks, and I have to say it really does look nice for a voodoo 3, its just that  about 30 screenshots is a bit to much. I made the same mistake a long time ago, i posted a picture with the size of 2048x1536 and that didint do to well on the forums template  [xx(] Now when i want to show it I make one picture with little size and the big one I place on an FTP server and i post a link to it. In my opinion that the best way to show your nice pictures :)

I dont see any improvement. Is the game faster then?
Maybe you should try to run a programm like FRAPS so
you can actually see what your fps(frames per second)
is. Then you can compare if the newer mesafx is better
for this game or not  ;)

You can download FRAPS here : http://www.fraps.com/download.htm
Its very simple you install the software, run it by double clicking
the shortcut on you desktop and leave it running. Then start up your game, and if all goes according to plan you can see a yellow FPS counter into the corner of your screen. And yes FRAPS does "support" OgenGL.You can also make screenshots with this software, you have to choose wich button you want to use before though    :)

Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Impossible for as far is I know. You will have to resize them yourself or change the extention to jpg. FRAPS can only make a raw data screenshot i think.

Try -2 (if it goes from -8 to 8) and see if there is any difference. If not, -6[8)]. Pay attention to the floor

dude, what is the matter with you? you should know by know what LOD bias means and how can affect the application. i know that you know, because i told you. shall i present a drawing, too?

You may notice some texture aliasing when moving with sharpest LoD bias. Anyway, nice pics (for a V3):D. I didn't belive that this game would be so friendly with it;)

Quotei know that you know, because i told you. shall i present a drawing, too?
Yes, :D

@ Teff
I quote here the 3dfx tools :
QuoteLevel of Detail Bias - This control changes the Level of Detail (LOD) bias used for MIP mapping. Moving the slider control will either add or subtract a bias from the LOD computed during MIP mapping, making textures appear either sharper or blurrier. Decreasing this bias can result in improved visual detail, but may reduce performance accordingly. Also, excessive bias can result in texture aliasing.

In very short :
A lower (negative) setting makes textures sharper at a cost of performance.
A higher (positive) setting makes textures blurrier but can increase the game speed.

Frankly, at higher than 0, often the image quality will be worse (except if you like it).

Since the game seems a little slow, the best would be to play with the settings of the game.

Teff,
Nevermind your VRAM. 3dMark is very cpu dependant because of heavy use of T&L (which voodoo lacks)[8)]. So, it's not really a good test for our cards. Its only reliable test is the fill rate test, which is very accurate[:p]

I didn't know your V3 was an onboard thing. Maybe it's not possible to mod it. Your m/b has to have some free vram placements, orelse forget it![V]. IF it has, you need to find exactly the same ram chips and soldier them in place (you need an SMD soldiering), then flash the V3's bios[8]

The voodoo2 could run this game too, but I have tried a legal and a warez version. Both won't install, very strange (there where no scratches on the legal version, it was brand new).

Are these screenshots, with the playable settings????

What are the exact settings??? Could you give me a cpoy of the config??? Has anyone tried on a regular V3 3000 or even 3500???
Unfortunately there is no benchmark with this game (we could maybe make a timedemo). But first I need to get my hands on this game.

I tried this game with a V3-1000 and MesaFX, it runs but some levels are very slow ( especially the city chase ).

Well a V2 SLI is between a V3 2k and a V3 3K. And that is because of the smaller memory, if you look at fillrate though a V2 SLI is nearly as fast as a V3 3,5k. But the throughput of a V3 is MUCH higher, and in these kind of games I think throughput is also very important.

well here the words of a real Jedi Master :)

medium" "Geometric Detail" and "medium" "Texture Detail" with resolution set to 1024x768, because the pixels are smaler and which the image quallity improves drasticly, but then again 8 frames per sec is just way too slow to play a game with I rather get my Voodoo5 5500 AGP and then the 40 frames per sec or more is achievable. anyway on a Raddy X800XT PE it/s better.

but anyway good work that you got it runn'n on your V3 2K 8MB man, The Force Is With You young Jedi Knight. ;)

Teff:
i think a faster CPU will certainly helps you a lot...
y not consider update ur CPU to a Celeron 900/1G or even Tualatin Celeron 1.4GHz?
with a slocket, everything will be nice..

Well, if i remember, this is a mobo with a V3 onboard and the chipset would be an Intel ZX.
I don't think that it's possible to install a cpu more powerful that 1 ghz but anyway, you're right with an other cpu (a slot 1) some things would be easier even if not perfect.

A Celeron 1.4GHz with Powerleap Slot-T is probably the most powerful combination for the mainboard
but Teff, i have a Coppermine celeron 900 Socket 370, if you want, you can always contact me for FREE, as we both live in Hong Kong. (just make sure that you can find a Slot->socket converter)

nightbird:
it's never a problem in upgrading a 100FSB BX/ZX mainboard.
mine is also a Slot 1, 100FSB BX mainboard
i get myself a VIA C3 1GHz(133FSB), a Tualatin converter and a slocket
just underclock the FSB and increase the ratio to 14.5, i have a 1.45GHz VIA C3
anyway, it's not fast at all, just a lot faster than my old PII 350

..its because the c3 cpus are SLOW. 1.45GHz c3 would be something like p3 800MHz..

yes..
it's below my old burnt Celeron 600 @ 1.08GHz
i know C3 will run much faster @ 133FSB, but my board dun support it..anything above 100 will give a system crash and reboot..
anyway, i can live with that (until i can get a Dual Core Athlon 64 and mATX mainboard)

the bios of the mobo

Thats right, the bios is critical.
Some board will accept an unkown CPU ( like a tualatin ), others will simply not start.
An example of a board that runs almost everything is the Asus P2B, it runs a Celeron-1400 as PentiumII-1200, but flawless.

for this, my board always shows a error on the start page..
but after pressing F1 letting it to continue, it just runs smoothly

for the MS-6168, seems its silent mode skips a lot of checking..a 80GB HDD will make the system hang in normal booting mode showing the POST screen, but if you turn that "lovely" PAckard logo on when boot up (i.e. the silent mode), the HDD will be accepted flawlessly...maybe the same can be applied on the CPU, i don't know...my friend just thrown his computer away before i know it(exactly  the one with MSI-6168 mainboard
