The game is very playable, I using on MAX settings,1024x768 16 bit.
I got 30-50 FPS. (sometimes the FPS drops to 24)

I have a fast connection luckily but if the pictures were smaller in size, i would be right also...
We can't spend our time to resize the pictures...

yes, the river is normal, I got this dark river on my ATi9800.

I guess that you're under XP and that you're using the SFFT core ?
What are "max settings" ?
Max settings is: High Terrain detail, and High texture detail. I Using windows 98 (192mb ram is not enough for XP..) And the leatest offical 3dfx driver :P
and 3d Analyzer is not requed to play:P:)
