I just installed falcon 4.0 and I do not have the option to use glide. I have a voodoo5. The only options I have are d3d and software. Does anyone know how to enable glide for the voodoo5.
Thanks
Dan
have you installed falcon 4.0 by microprose or falcon 4.0 allied force by lead pursuit?
falcon 4 Allied Force haven't got support for glide
Falcon 4.0 by Micropose and I have installed the 1.8 patch.
If you are using the Micorsoft Driver for the Voodoo 5500 supplied with XP, so far as I am aware it doesn't support glide. You will have to try a third party driver.

I am using Amigamerlin 3.1-R11 for Voodoo 5 AGP. I have un-installed and re-installed the game a couple of times. I don't think it is finding the Voodoo5. Has anyone else run into this problem?
My system is WinXP, Voodoo5 5500, Mobile amd 2400 @2088.
Thanks Dan
Falcon 4.0 needs at least Glide2 2.54.
Since the Glide2 inside the AmigaMerlin 3.1-R11 is the Glide2 to Glide3 Translator dll, try to change it for a "classic" glide2.dll.
..you can download it here (http://www.3dfx.cz/download/sfft.zip),just extract the files from the package to your windows/system32 folder and overwrite the old files..
Falcon 4 can run with glide3 too, to enable glide3 modify the registry in this way:

I tried replacing the glide and I also did the HKEY change. The only options I have for graphics is d3d and software. My graphics card comes up as display. I ran the mprtest and that does show the vooodoo, but when I run the f4info, that only shows d3d and software. Could it be because I am using Windows xp?? I really want to play this game in glide. Any other ideas I could try? Thanks
i tried on my winXP pc and i'm in your same situation: glide rendering isn't present in version 1.0 and in version 1.08
probably is a windowsXP problem because i remember i played f4 in glide mode on win98 and voodoo3
What is the difference between these tow modes (d3d and opengl/glide) ?
