I ran it on a Pentium4-2800 with Voodoo4-4500 PCI, is was still playable.
The game was slower when many cars/opponents were on screen, but was fun to play. About a year ago I tried it under Win98 on a V5-5000 with Raziels drivers, but that was like a slideshow, so the SFFT experience on XP is way better...

I always thought only minimum is possible, every other setting exits the game to desktop.
