Did this require anything other than the drivers under 98se? Or did you use 3D Analyze or mod config files or something?

3D Analyze didn't work, as pretty much everyone has tried it... I modded the config file for the game, and had to click 'continue' a couple of times, and it works fine. ;)
If anyone wants the config, just let me know and I'll post it. Just backup your old config and copy my one into the game dir. :D

It still doesnt work on my computer. Both on win xp with am 3.0 and win98 with the latest official drivers the game still crashes. I still get the same fatal error:

I tried to find your drivers (x3dfx 1.07 drivers) but the only thing that comes up are voodoo 3 drivers [V]

Still not working. I found the drivers but i get the same error. The only thing that could make the diffrence is either because i have a AGP voodoo or bacause i use win98 instead of win 98se [V]

Mmmmh... strange. You know, I'll to post today (maybe) my first driver set for v5 under Win9x... Halo is working almost perfect here. :D

hmm looks nice! I want to play the game on my voodoo 6000 [:(]
I dont get it, what am i doing wrong?

So first of all i install the game : Halo - Combat Evoled.
Then i used the drivers from x3dfx and 3dfx.
What about any setting. Will factory standard work? Or must i enable/disable anything?
Then o overwrite the config.txt file ( stragne thing is when it says overwrite? the file is 19.5 kb and if overwrited the file is 21.5 kb [xx(] ) Well than i start the game and it gives an error. Then it launches to the main menu and before anything can be loaded a crash!
And what version of the game itself. I tried 1.0 and 1.04

Is not necessary to enable/disable nothing. The game is running perfect here, with any 3dfx tool configuration.

Well, the config file is the only step needed to do the game playable... Here all is loaded ok (intro, videos, menu, game)...
Definitively, your problem is a core driver problem.

Raziel64, what is you OS 98se or 98? Im getting mighty tired of this. I have tried almost everything. I even did a complete reinstall of everything. Maybe only PCI cards work? From what i understand from the modded config, InSomNiaN is trying to make Halo think its dealing with a tnt2 [xx(] instead of a voodoo4/5. Maybe it only works on PCI cards? Are you using 5500 PCI or AGP.

About the driver you wrote. I dont know what you have done with them but are they that much different from the original 3dfx's. I mean do you think it could make difference in making Halo playable?

Driver Set: well, you'll see that is not really different to the other drivers sets, but is working really good, at least here... Be patient, it will be released this week.:)
