3 days i see " Unable set mode "

How about posting a tutorial so we can all have a go at trying this hack...;)

Like they say "two heads are better than one...", or in this case MANY heads! :D

It STILL suprises me what we can actually get to RUN on Voodoo cards! [8D]

ok

i cant remember on all settings

1) unpack "CSS HLDS (Server) EmporiO.rar"   and "CSS Non-Steam EmporiO.rar"

2) copy yourname@email dir from your Steam directory into CSS

3) in  dxsupport.cfg  replace all nodes with :

5) run  srcds.exe -nomaster
and run server

6) if you have DX9 you must use 3DAnalyzer  with DX8 isnt necessary

7) run CSS:   hl2.exe -steam -game cstrike -noconsole

I'm just guessing, but if u put opengl32.dll (MESA or WickedGL), everything should start up fine. I didn't get the latest CS yet, the latest version I tried this on is CS: Condition Zero

P.S. WickedGL will probably work only in full screen mode.

no,.. .you cant use mesa or wicled... Source engine use directx, allowing dx7 / 8 /9 .....

you just cant use mesafx or any other tipe of ogl mode, becouse you just CANT use ogl render mode....

Hmmm.. Taht's Strange. I can get the basicaly the same result on Half-Life2 just by running the game Windowed (FullScreen just don't start...) and setting the desktop bpp to 16bits.
But the real strange part is that using SFFT driver's I can run the game smothly (30fps, on the main screen, firt part of first chapter). But using Amiga Sport I get really crap FPS.

I think the main problem now are the textures... if there were any way to use 256x256x8bits textures... WOW :D

HL2 engine based games will not be playable.the problem is not texture size (its already 256*256),its texture format.voodoo3 simply doesnt support the correct texture formats..as for SFFT driver,yeah it IS fast ;)
