Hi guys,

a new Voodoo2 driver kit will be on line asap.
This one named FastVoodoo2 4.6 is an optimized version of FastVoodoo2 4.5 MM beta2 so it adds mismatched Voodoo2 support for SLI configuration (like 4.5 MM beta 2 and versus previous 4.0 final release) and gives a little speed gain.

Driver availability will be announced at 3dfxzone home page.

Best regards,

Glide

Skinnie:
you are the first user talking about password.. I can assure you that when i release it, there was no password..hovewer, i suggest you to download the 4.5mm beta 2 edition, is less or more the same set..

Geri:
to keep on the vertical sync probably should be useful
the problem is random..not all computer are affected..

As it was already mentioned, new Win2k/XP drivers are available to solve  problems regarding Radeons as primary cards (mainly desktop corruption, some memmap errors). How is the Win9x drivers development progressing? Interestingly, I had no probs with FV 4.0 GE other than that I cannot run SLI. FV 4.6 are another story, though; everytime when running a game in Glide (2x, 3x, whatever) there is a mess on exit - frozen cursors, disappearing pictures, garbled text, cosmic schizo in Explorer and so on. I have a R9550 now, formerly had a 9200, so the problems exists with all Radeons probably, with some strengh from specific configurations. Of course I'm worried that the win9x Glide development is not-so-advanced as win2k's, so I ask for the next potion of "Athlon&ATI-compatible, SLI-fixed, OpenGL-enabled FastVoodoo2 drivers", but I don't demand them.  :D

Is there any intent of applying drivers for glide support on SLI MM schema with fastvoodoo2 package? :)

Hi dudes! I first installed a Voodoo2 12MB with fastvoodoo2 4.0 drivers and wicked3d opengl. It worked fine in cs! But now I also installed a voodoo2 8MB with the other voodoo2 board (SLI) and the graphics in cs went crazy! Lots of bugs etc... What is the problem? Can I fix this?

You installed a 12MB Voodoo2 and a 8MB Voodoo2 in SLI ?
No wonder you have problems, at least the amount of memory has to be the same on both cards.

try to swap the boards. The 8 mbyte card must be initialized first.

do NOT use mismatched drivers for normal (matched) SLI.

Information about this driver:  It overclocks your Voodoo2 from 90 =>93MHz.  This might not be an issue for some of you, but I have 4 PC's on a LAN, all with GF4's and V2's, and one of my V2's hated the overclock and locked up continuosly.  It wasn't until I installed the overclocking .dll that comes with these drivers that I realized they were overclocking the cards by default.  Personally, I think stability is the most important thing in gaming, thus I have all my V2's set back to "default."  It would have been nice if this overclock would have been mentioned in the readme, as it would have saved me many hours in troubleshooting.  :(

Since I tried to look for this info before purchasing cards, but didn't find anywhere, I'll post it here.

The following configuration works flawlessly in Windows 98 with FastVoodoo 4.6:
-Trust Dragon 2, 12MB Voodoo2 card
-Innovision (Inno 3D) Mighty 3DII, 12MB Voodoo2 card

The Glide games work with Trust drivers, but D3D doesn't without the "mismatched cards" -driver.
